Eh that sounds silly, a socialist approach to repping power. Usually when new people are used as the front there's a hidden agenda. Either way, everyone regardless of their rep count has a reputation for the type of poster they are.

I think the rite of passage the misc presents is something every new poster should experience. If you just hop right in and start being controversial etc then you're going to be seen as weak prey. What do the hyena pack do to the hyena who has grey hair or has an injury? They take it out. Keep your head down, build a buffer then adapt. Just like with entering any new social circle.

I have no idea what's going on though, there is major rep inflation but I personally don't see a problem but that accounts for nothing. People fall for the same logical fallacy with rich vs poor. They think low reps, red are victims. Some maybe, but I am willing to bet at least half, even more are there because they deserve it. I am not even a high repper, 100k is the new 10k. If you're smart and want to be up to 500k+ you would know the offensive game you'd have to play.

Besides it's not like people wouldn't create a way to distinguish themselves. Let's say they did remove rep counts you'll just have some signature badge system. Just like with bodypoints etc, people slammed all their stats in their signature lol.

Last, I'd like to ask about why questioning a mod's decision to ban someone is intolerable? It may not be an act of disrespect, rather, it may be a request for transparency. I'd like to point to modern criminal justice as a reference for transparency among punitive actions. Punishments, in this case, a ban, are to act as a public deterrent so others know not to do the same thing.

Were you aware that there were some folks that email mods and they got their ban doubled for questioning it?

@dj I don't like the idea of reps being equal value. The cool thing about the rep system as it used to be that if a bunch of folks were hazing a new member, a high repper such as RICH and myself could rep him/her out of the red. Ideally folks with high reps should be more responsible and not get into the beefs/bull**** on here.

Are you aware that there are people in this world that have a severe medical condition which causes them to be that way? My mother for instance is one of those people. She is a truck driver that has bad knees and a bad back from driving the truck but you probably do not care about that case either. Oh well I am not one of those people I am 6'4" 245lbs and I exercise every day. I would love to see you say something like to my mother in front of me.
