You aren't wrong. That attitude is an issue and it has come from both mods and regular users. This is part of what I'd like to see change.

Neither of those two are at risk for a reset or reduction. They are OGOPs and make quality posts.

Punishments, in this case, a ban, are to act as a public deterrent so others know not to do the same thing.

That is fair feedback. I have asked mods verbally to take a lightened approach to certain rules and I am looking at some revisions in the written rules.

@dj I don't like the idea of reps being equal value. The cool thing about the rep system as it used to be that if a bunch of folks were hazing a new member, a high repper such as RICH and myself could rep him/her out of the red. Ideally folks with high reps should be more responsible and not get into the beefs/bull**** on here.

You and I have spoken via e-mail. You know that I will always give a fair assessment and response to reasonable requests. Certain users like to fly in hot with insults and accusations when I know nothing about their ban, and they wonder why nobody wants to help them.
