I'm guessing around Scranton? I got a lift in recently at their Crunch which was actually pretty decent. Personally I like PA for weekends trips since it's a nice mix of small town/country outside of the suburbs. Just some towns have been hit hard by industry picking up and leaving a number of years ago and it's sad to see all the vacant buildings.

Harrisburg area, but my parents are about 15 minutes away. So I hit that up when I'm home for the holidays. Had a 5am workout there last Christmas day and had the entire place to myself

Nailed it, right between Scranton and WB. I used to go to that Crunch. Really decent gym for the price .

Actually that might be a good way to train for muscle ups if you can't do bodyweight! Just hang upside down with a 135lb or whatever barbell!

It’s honestly quite easy with decent technique. Kick one up, then the other. No curling involved.

Also based on the guys avi I will assume he’s frauding but I really don’t care. If he can prove me wrong that would be a welcome surprise.

I stand and pick them up, sit on the bench, put them on my knee's/thighs and kick them up.

Saw my best gains doing standing OHP and medium/light seated DB presses.

Not much standing anymore though. I feel bad hogging the racks trying to do it.

I wonder if my Jason Genova thread inspired this. Anyway, the hardest part of OHP for me is the upper back stabilization, not the actual pressing. IDK if that's just me though, I can incline almost as much as I can flat bench.

As for why I think it's useful. I'm sure your methods work for you OP but the tried and true methods have stuck around for a reason. Also, they're simple, a few basic compounds that are say 90% effective that you can stick to are better than your fancy methods which may well be 100% effective but require specialized equipment or waiting for equipment. An example of what I mean is I think dips are better than bench press but bench press is usually still the better option because it can be progressively overloaded easier.

Nope. Pull ups are easy. Inverted OHP is hands on floor, barbell on feet and press. It's harder than it sounds.

If you don't bench with two benches arranged parallel, your head on one and your feet on the other, how are you even working your core and hamstrings?

Exactly. Gotta make the exercise as inefficient as possible for the intended muscle
