Woke up to a foot of fresh snow. That's gonna put a serious damper of some people's Thanksgiving travel since it will definitely jack up Denver's airport.

Gonna put a damper on getting the Xmas lights up this year, too. Supposed to be cold for the next week or so. Will take awhile to melt off to where I can get on the roof. I should have been "that guy" who put the lights up a couple weeks ago when it was in the 60's. You're generally safe getting decent weather (or at least without snow) this time of year. Mother Nature decided to throw a curve ball.

Got about 8 inches down here. Still snowing.

Working from home today and then off the rest of the week.

Wife had to drive in, though. She said there were only a few cars on the road.

Metal frame series is the big glock surprise. Not a 1911 and not hammer fired. Think of the Q5 match steel frame just not stupidly priced like the walther. Sorry to ruin the surprise

I was gonna make a joke that the surprise would be that they are making a metal frame .45 acp gun. If its reasonably priced I might have to snag one. I love that steel frame Walther but I couldn't justify that price unless I was doing high level competition shooting

...not sure if bad troll or retarded. CZ has made WAY more than just the 75 since then. Guns with different frame materials, entirely new trigger systems, striker, hammer, DAO, SAO, DA/SA, etc.

Edit: Do we need to go into the dozens of models of rifles and shotguns CZ makes as well?
Glock makes one boring ass gun. Under the different calibers and numbers on the slide, they're the same damn gun. They hype up everything they release only to unveil...wait for it...the same fuking Glock they've made for ~35 years at the end of the day.

I'd love to have a steel frame Glock. Would be interesting.

Seems like all the other players in the game are releasing essentially competition ready guns (Shadow, X5, Q5). Would love to see something with an improved trigger, heavier frame, optics cut and FO suppressor sights.

Don't think Glock is all that concerned about the competition market. Defense/tactical is where they're making their money.
Although a steel framed gun could definitely take them a long ways. Other platforms have much superiors triggers, but one of the main reasons why people go with steel framed guns over Glock is they want the weight. (And Glock mag capacity sucks compared to others, even with 140mm pads.)

Initial release in .45 GAP and .38 special. 9mm and .40 S&W to follow in 2021.

I don't think they care that much, but they'd move an insane number of units and totally crush the momentum Sig got from nowhere with the X5 stuff. Not like they'd have to do much. Design a safe 3lb factory connector and pin the trigger safety shorter, and add some sort of weighted material to the grip area.

Inb4 announcement is gen 6 with "new finger groved grip area"
