This take is even colder than your attempts to pull a woman.
All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

What do you think of the changes the NBA is proposing? Shortening the season and having an in season tournament every team participates in (I guess this is a soccer thing) and re-seeding in the playoffs.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...mpression=true

I’m a fan of re-seeding in the playoffs and shortening the season but I’m not sure how an in-season tournament would work (I don’t watch soccer) or how interested teams would even be in winning.

in season tournament would make no sense. in soccer, it works because it has teams of different leagues playing each other.(so, as a rough example, imagine the D-League was in it too so teams that ususally never play could end up playing each other).

But this wouldnt work in the nba.

I actually think that the reseeding of the final 4 would be pretty good. You could have the best West teams play each other in the Finals. The mid-season tourney would be dumb; players are sitting out to rest as it is. It would be bench scrubs playing. This is going to be one of the better season/playoffs that I have witnessed in awhile. There is much more parity. I hope that this trend will last in future seasons.

I am in support of shortening the regular season.
This is not just a basketball thing, but the regular season doesn't mean much anymore.
What's the point of playing 82 games? (or 162)

I'm ok with re-seeding and would recommend eliminating back to backs in the regular season.

Just for the hell of it, I would also be open to a mid-season tournament.
It might end up being a flop, but would be something totally different and could create some excitement.
Can you imagine some type of NCAA tourney where some team like Sacramento catches fire and ends up in the final or winning?

Just make the season a month longer, spread games out better. No back-to-backs. Fuk taking away games.

Remember when Simmons was the next big thing?

Dude plays exactly the same as he did his rookie season & is actually putting up worse numbers.

Edit: Spurs have dropped off a cliff, about to be 1-9 over their last 10.

Not like they have a sh*t roster or anything either.

Lol I remember some cuck negging me last year because I said the smart play for the Sixers was to sell high on Embiid and Simmons.

Simmons is as overrated as they come, and I don't see Joel's body holding up for more than 2-3 years. He also don't have enough natural talent to reinvent his game.

The talent isn’t the issue, with them it’s all mental. They remind me of players like harden who are world class athletes but can’t rely on them to win a championship.

Yup. It's ego.

The fact that Simmons hasn't developed any range game says it all.

Amazing what can happen when he doesn't have to carry the entire offense for every game all season.

Also.... Raps hold yet ANOTHER superstar player to a season low in points. Joel Embiid goes scoreless as the Raps move to 12-4.... 6-2 now without Lowry and Ibaka. People don't want to admit it but they're absolutely in the mix to win the East again and go back to the Finals.

embiid being held to zero points, for all the chit talk and shenanigans he does, he doesn't seem to be able to back it up except against scrub and middle of the pack teams. It's almost like at this point you would rather have Towns > Embiid because he's much better at shooting and stretching the floor although his defense is kinda meh

Tough call but when your PG is Simmons and you also have Al Horford to help with the interior defense I'd choose KAT in that scenario.

Just lol if you’re not going to be in the building tomorrow night for AD’s return to New Orleans. I have mixed feelings. He gave the city everything and no one around here cares about basketball during football season. I still want to root for him but I hate everything about Lebron.

I won’t boo him during lineups but will during the game. Hope we do a tribute video. Dude is a freaking beast and the move was what was best for him...

Embiid is so weak minded its crazy.

Simmons needs no words since he was always overrated.

Honestly Raps would have lost if not for Kawhi out bossing Giannis last year. But he was there. Initially at the start of this season i had Raps going down in the semis/conf finals for this reason alone.

But seeing philly so trash, and Giannis still running into walls and kicking it out wildly makes me think they hve not learned a single thing.

Raps and Boston look way more capable.

That is a cuck attitude. Went back to read through that whole disaster to open up the wounds again. F it. I’m booing him. The process was handled poorly and he never cared to provide that “sincere” tweet thanking the city.

i think the melo thing is gonna work out. he's gonna have a decent season and not embarrass himself. probably similar #s to what he had in okc. portland has at least 10-15 shots a game for him at least until nurk gets back. also, hes their only legit post threat until nurk gets back. blazers picked him up because they needed buckets and melo is a bucket getter. interested to see what he's looking like come the new year when he has a month of games under him.
hope they make the playoffs. it would suck if they don't. either way i think melo is gonna buy himself at least another year in the league with his performance this season. he's hitting his 3's now which will be the most important thing vis a vis continuing his career

Embiid has so much talent but I feel like he just doesn't live up to it sometimes.
