Potentially stupid question from someone clearly not super knowledgeable about bolt action rifles: Can you piece together your own? Like buy the receiver separate from the bolt, barrel, etc?

They are offering all the FBI guns and parts too all on sale.
Bill is releasing 100 of his rifle which is an 18” barrel and A2 stock.
They have a new BCG that’s modified from mil spec.

If you want a precision rifle, you'd probably want at least a rem 700 receiver but by the time you put all the extras into it, you're getting into entry level custom receivers.Potentially stupid question from someone clearly not super knowledgeable about bolt action rifles: Can you piece together your own? The barrel and optics are your most important parts. I've beat some custom rigs using a gun built off a Savage action but those guys just weren't that good of shooters :/
If going the non custom route, it's usually cheapest just to buy a used hunting rifle localy and use the receiver and bolt and then toss or sell the stock, barrel, and trigger.

It’ll definitely leak before 12/10.

Happy Thanksgiving, MFC!!!!!
Turkey is in to roast. Potatoes are peeled and ready to be boiled. Stuffing and yams are prepped and ready to go into the oven a bit later. Gonna overeat as usual, spend some quality time with family, watch some football, nap . . . then eat more later.

I picked up this Cannae Pro 21 liter bag that came with 4 pouches for $73. The bag itself, individually, is selling for about $60 right now. Normally the bag is about $100. Figured this was a good deal.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WHF4337/
This bag will work perfect for my competition shooting rig, will be able to fit all my gear in it and ammo and a camel pak for the summer months here. It's far more convenient having a back pack, than a duffel, to carry like 30 pounds of gear (mostly ammo) between stages

People destroyed my driveway today. It was getting bad anyway and needed new gravel and grading but damn it’s wrecked now. Gotta call the gravel place on Monday for a couple dump truck loads.

That’s why 13.7 barrels are so cool with the right muzzle device.

In either case you are then stuck with that muzzle device (not totally, but, kind of, depending)
If you went full ****ing retard on a Guys Lee would it be a Super Duty or a McRifle MK1?
