How would that be any different than the current system? You'd still have overall ratings for people and the same type of end results at the end of the day. The people who group rep and neg here would just do the same in a like/dislike system too.

If people want that type of cliche, overused "likes" system, they'll stick to reddit and crap like ********. The misc isn't about to take any traffic away from those places by straying even further from what made this place legendary at one time.

I have yet to see a single arguement explaining why my idea of just having more strictness against rep trading/abuse of negs was bad. Do you guys supporting the idea of a complete overhaul of the rep system to changing it to a different one like "likes" would require a massive reformatting of the entire board? They're still running on a format largely unalterred since at least the mid-2000's, and you think they're going to start investing in the misc enough to make a major change like that now? No offense, but get real lol.

The issue is how do you actually moderate abuse of someones rep power actively. Agreed it should happen though

The only problem I have with the rep system as it is, is that it sucks to only be able to rep 5x in a 24 hour period and it takes forever to get off spread with people. I know there's a reason for it which is rep trading and agree that if they're going to keep this rep system then there needs to be some control/oversight to stop people from abusing it.
