Online dating is pathetic and sad, the whole thing freaks me out. It's dystopic and disturbing seeing thousands of people trying to show their "best" side online in a extremely shorted summary and a few random pics. The thought of it makes me cringe

Well, in simple terms, you expressed WAY too much interest in her...paradoxically, women want massive amounts of attention, but reject men who give it to them. It's stupid as ****, but once you start treating women like cats, you'll have a lot more success. Basically, no matter how much you want to get into their pants, treat them as if you're sort of reluctant to engage that much. Eventually they'll make the effort to come to you if they're legitimately interested, and then you reward them with some attention.

Thanks for the reply. While understand the basics of what your saying, sometimes your just tired of it all and just want to be real. She was surprised herself an hour had passed. We had alot in common and I genuinely enjoyed the conversation.

Apparently that's a bad thing. Sloots man...

You had never met this girl, only talked to her on Tinder before the phone call, right? That means she had ZERO investment in you. None. If you were actually on a date and this happened, you'd probably be balls deep by now, but instead she just filled a void of boredom. I wouldn't spend more than literally five seconds on the phone, and that's just to ask her out. You can talk in person.

No, we had not.

I said we should meet on sunday and said she was free herself. Sounded pretty keen on it. Anyways. On to the next.

It's disturbing that people meet others that don't even live in the same city too. 20 years ago people would call you crazy for driving 50 miles to meet someone but people do it all the time now. But now it's all accepted.

Current girlfriend is off Tinder. Totally normal well-educated person (23 years old at the time, now 24) who had apparently just downloaded the app to try out because she lost weight, had almost no sexual background or experience, and looked better in person than in her pictures. She was probably my third date off the app after two weeks. Been together about eight months now and it's going very well, both parties have met each other parents, etc.

I don't think that's the norm however, but it's possible.

I was killing it for the last year or so, just got a gf off that Hinge app. Complain all you want about all women being trash, but the fact is nearly all single women entertain some form of a dating app, if you're not capitalizing on that then you're tour is over before it started boyo

Lol every girl on tinder has just downloaded it that day and has no sexual experience. Please don't tell me you fell for that one. Son, I am disappoint.

Yeah I'm pretty sure a lot of normal women in urban centers with good jobs often don't have a large social circle (most normal adult women aren't casually friends with other guys) because of work commitments, and aren't that interested in getting "picked up" at a bar. A lot of them eventually end up giving the dating apps a try.

Eh normally I would be inclined to take your side on this one but she was genuinely inexperienced and had no idea what she was doing. She just seemed sort of like a shy nerdy not overtly sexual person who decided to finally take steps to try and date.

Anyways my point was more to underline the fact that it's possible to find "good girls" on the app.

Problem is once they get online they realize they have endless options. Good luck keeping attraction long enough.

It's very possible. I know friends (girls) who were on tinder and they definitely weren't the hook up type. However, that's gonna be harder to find. One girl I found on there legit was abused by her last boyfriend and decided to take it out on men by being a sloot. These apps while good in some aspects are terrible in others.

Its not the phone call that's the problem. Serious, you probably DID have the connection (unless you inadvertently said something really terrible on the call, like that you a miscer, jk)

It's more likely she got back with an ex, and that's why she isn't texting back anymore.

From a female perspective it is over.

Every other week you hear of some girl getting murdered by some guy she met on tinder.

Less dramatically, there's guys using fake pics, old pics, lying about their job, lying about their interests, cheating on their partner, trying to fill a void after their ex dumped them.....

Plus it's a playground for people who don't have actual friends to socialise with to enable them to meet people IRL.

Real life is so much better.

Some have been in a long term relationship and donโ€™t know how to date, so they try it out or are a transplant for work. But yeah, agreed those are the 1% lol. Iโ€™ve had plenty of ONS on apps and regretted every single one in the morning pretty much, but it is what it is

I'd rather meet somebody in real life, but it seems like a lot of the girls on those apps are falling into a trap. They go on those apps to look for guys, and then they complain about never finding a guy. Yet they will keep going on the app and keep meeting guys and they get pumped and dumped. They bitch about how they can never find a good guy, yet they will consistently go on these apps and date multiple guys. Nothing wrong with dating multiple people, but if you are trying to find a partner banging a bunch of dudes at once isn't gonna help. Dating apps are seriously a cancer for relationships nowadays because girls always feel like they can find somebody better by swiping right.
This.

I hopped on tinder around 2014 and from then til 2016 got laid probably 15 times from different girls. Had quite a few meetups and all that as well.

But now, 3 yrs later, when I look even better, in much better shape, doing better financially, actually play in a band, literally cant get chit. Not one meet up. Not a date. Or if I do, its within some chick who's off her fkn rocker.

I'll literally be like, yeah Im over at xyz coffee shop working. Oh & my dude Mike is about to play at their open mic tonight, you should come by for a minute" and whatcha think happens ...... "Ooooh Im busy." I mean really. You give em every opportunity to duck out. leave. or stay if they want & have a good time & that isn't good enough.

"Online dating" his just about fkn pointless now. I think its been 5ish years now & all the girls caught on and its no longer "new and exciting." Just like how FB used to be. You could easily dm girls on there if you had a mutual friend & it was nbd. Now, LMAO, not so much.

My advice is, if you';re over 30, stay TF off those apps & just meet people through your own network or social circle.

Both sexes are guilty of this but I think from the purely physical standpoint (catfishing) - women do it far more often. I've legitimately been shocked when meeting women in real life from tinder / bumble on numerous occasions due to how incredibly different they looked in person.

You guys are the ultimate frauds, firstly for the obvious reason that makeup can add 2-3 points to your looks (which men don't have the luxury of or any equivalent), and it's acceptable for girls to use heavily frauded selfies with snapchat filters (which would get most men left-swiped instantly).

honestly if most guys would just swallow the pill that they aren't nearly as attractive as they think they are and smash the whales in their league, they'd probably have more success online.
