not 1 police officer that responded to that call wanted the UPS driver or other person to be killed, and frankly, probably didn't even want these punks to be killed either, but it ****in happened because of the actions of thePUNKS NOT POLICE

Typically I am on the side of the cops but in this case, IDK. That looks to me like they were lucky more innocent people were not killed by friendly fire.
They just sort of started blasting until they were sure everyone was dead, on a crowded highway.
I want to see it the other way but that vid looks terrible.

Ohhh right, because those dumbfuk cops were right on it's ass in a crowded surface street when they 100% did not have to be, knowing full well the criminals were armed and willing to fire on them and had a hostage as well.
Like I said, this chit is indefensible but I guess even that won't stop some thin blue line idiots from trying anyway, goddamn cult man I swear.
You got cops literally using civilians in their cars as a shield against incoming fire, unloading into civilians and the hostage with rifles en mass, and you're still out here defending their actions. Talk about pathetic, fukkin lol
Still stories surfacing from civilians who were in that area that are finding bullet holes in their cars, one found 2 in their fukking baby seat, thank god the baby wasn't in it at the time.

You guys that are saying the police are not at fault - what kind of situation would it take for you to assign blame to the cops? If you were to ask any cop what would be the worst outcome of a high speed chase - they would probably tell you "a shootout in rush hour traffic" which is exactly why there is training and procedures intended to avoid this very situation

Why are you guys arguing with these two posters lmao.
Never argue with fools. You'll never win.
Plus, it's appalling how most smart miscers do agree that things could have been handled way better, and they showed proof. Whereas, the two police officers in this thread seem to lack knowledge and awareness, while they should be the smart ones who put feelings aside and follow logic.
Scary chit. These two posters are the guys you miscers are arguing with.
Honestly, I am somewhat relieved that everyone except two individuals is smart enough to assess the situation that happened.

Crazy thing is this happened 22 miles away, and the same county, as the Parkland shooting where the Broward County Sheriff's office was blasted for not engaging the shooter quick enough. I live about 30 minutes away and am in that area quite often, crazy to think what could happen one day on your drive home from work.

They ended the pursuit because they engaged with DPF when they were met with DPF - success.
There was ALSO a hostage situation which required better tactics than unloading hundreds of rounds into a truck without regard for the hostage or for their surroundings - FAILURE.
Not only did they get the hostage killed but they let an innocent bystander get killed too. Your deflection of "but it was the perps who necessitated the response" doesn't hold up. The actions taken made no attempt to protect innocent life. They had no reasonable exception that their actions could have saved the life of the hostage and the actions recklessly put the lives of far too many bystanders at risk.

In no situation is cops suppose to bum rush someone who has a hostage, and kill the hostage! Do you have common sense what sense does it make to bum rush and shoot everyone including the hostage?
I just want to share the knowledge I have obtained throughout my life and hopefully change someone's life.

Innocent lives were lost...
People, especially the keyboard warrior'ing, social media activist yutes of today, are primed to be triggered by that chit. Anything less than a flawless outcome is unacceptable when you have no perspective in life and the only adversity you've ever experienced is cracking the screen on your iPhone.
It's sad and terribly tragic... and given the benefit of hindsight, I'm sure there are a thousand things that could have been done differently... how many innocent lives were saved though? What if the criminals had started popping off rounds at innocent drivers or ramming cars with the UPS truck? If innocent lives were lost that way, people would be blaming the police for not taking swift, decisive action.
It's a no win situation, especially for the boys in blue, and the most we can hope for is that people learn from it.
