also makes a HUGE difference in hand speed. specially with how short he is and how short is limbs are, combine that with wayy heavier slower hands... his fists will be going nowhere fast.

Lots of people apparently salty that Joshua didn't just stand still and let Ruiz hit him. I mean ducking and weaving until your opponent tires out and then finishing them off is a legitimate boxing tactic too.

Considering the massive weight advantage that Ruiz has over Joshua obviously if it was just a matter of who could take more hits Ruiz would win flat out. I would even go as far as saying if Ruiz hadn't dreamer bulked so hard and maybe cut 20-30lbs he could have been way more agile in the ring and would have dominated Joshua, but then that's all just part of the game eh.

Pretty predictable if you have watched any boxing in the past. AJ going for the jab and grab routine at a lower weight, and the gluttonous challenger unable to handle the fame, and getting even fatter.

The only uncertainty was if AJ could actually employ such a tactic, as he's been terrible at it in the past, and to be honest he was absolutely horrendous in the clinches and the only time Ruiz landed anything significant was when AJ tried to clinch but failed hard, but the foot work, upper body movement and jab was very good. His jab really impressed me this fight, it was a quick and explosive jab.

AJ did what he was supposed to do. Cutting weight didn't hinder him, it actually helped him a lot. Usually it'd hinder somebody, especially when it's muscle. But props to him. Ruiz couldn't cut the ring off and missed too many opportunities to lead with left hooks and right hands. Kept jabbing him too much, hoping AJ would just stay there for a combination or counter, but AJ kept boxing and moving, better than he's ever done. He should keep that weight honestly, I could see that AJ beating most heavyweights currently, might even give Wilder a good fight, better than I thought before.

Glad to say I took aj on points, only because I couldn’t decide a round but I didn’t give Ruiz much hope.

Ruiz is a guy who seems happy to waste his considerable talents. He throws aj off easily in the clinch and he’s fast enough to hit anyone. Great chin as well. I don’t understand it, because he could clean up the division if he trained seriously

he's been grinding. was given an opportunity and took it. same goes for many other pro athletes that people thought would never make it

meanwhile most miscers have just been jerking off since age 6 and never been on a grind other than some sh*t 9-5 (and that's cool)
