Jesus. I'm convinced that literally the only reason you ask for advice is to purposely do the opposite of what everyone tells you.
Haven't been keeping up with this saga. What was the recommendation?
If anyone is looking at a new 22lr handgun, I'd highly recommend checking out one of these. Light weight, adjustable rear sight for both elevation and windage, ergonomics are amazing, and the trigger is seriously on the level of a PPQ. Not to mention two 16 round mags and comes with a threaded barrel adapter to run suppressed. Doubt I'd ever buy a Taurus centerfire anything, but they knocked it out of the park with this 22lr.

[img]https://i.imgur.com/9k8FiNc.jpg[/ig]
SS has one of these and speaks very highly of it.

I would try the G3, as far as centerfire stuff is concerned.

Oh lord. Shooter in New Jersey. Allegedly shot a cop, and possibly took off in a U-Haul truck. How many innocents will the police gun down this time?
Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.

Performance and performance alone dictates the predator in any food chain.

Everyone has suggested I look at Dan Wesson in my 1911 shopping. I was torn between a Valor commander size (only size still available- valors are discontinued) or Specialist government size. Relentless told me he really dislikes commander size models and to get the specialist. I ended up going with the Valor commander.

If you're just going to have one 1911, it might as well be a 5" .45.

And gave you an actual reason why that anyone who knows anything about 1911's will tell you - they are never as reliable as a full size 5" model.

I don't really disagree. If I planned on this being a home defense or carry gun I'd only consider govt model. But I bet my commander DW will still run better than most the other stuff I own.

One reason was that I had a chance for a parent to do a vertical transfer off roster for me, which is like the ONLY legal loophole to the retarded CA roster. There are NO commander size models worth anything on the roster. I can buy stuff like the TRP Operator later in government size. Or the Pointman, which is nice too. Govt size ales Baer stuff is available too.

MK2 BFH 14.5" Mid Length (ENHANCED Light Weight) Upper Receiver Group w/ MCMR-13 Handguard, 3x3 ambi charge handle, pinned Surefire Warcomp, and BCM BCG. $1,070

So in the end it's basically the same price as the current Geissele complete super duty 11.5 uppers

I wish they'd do free BCG's again. I can't convince myself to pay $170 for one knowing they were free at one point.

I bought the regular USGI upper 14.5 BFH ELW with a pinned Comp Mod 1, BCG, and 4x4 for like a grand. It’s my fave. I’d have waited for this mk2 if I knew it was coming though.

My brother has a Taurus G2C 9mm. Its not the most accurate thing in the world but not bad for a compact pistol. He likes it more than his Sig and carries it daily

Farley isn't the thread author.

As far as your choices, have you considered that the reason for that is that your choices consistently suck? You constantly ask for advice, ignore the advice you receive, and then complain to us about the poor experience that we told you, in advance, that you would have.
