I don't know, but in reference to what the two of us said, it doesn't matter...if the election goes too far left, a complete Geissele Super Duty rifle might well cost $5k to buy anywhere it can be bought. Standard basic 6920's were legit selling for $3k the last big banic even though many of us knew there wasn't going to be any kind of a ban

My guess would be Geissele doesn't raise prices directly from them after election but before legislation. But full 100% price with no sales for anything and likely out of stock with increased prices from any retailers that have stock, yes

you dont need to look around for AKs, atlantic has them in stock right now. if you really want one you should buy it because banics are coming and the supply will dry up real quick

Noice

And another example of how, most of the time, a quick-draw is not necessary. Also abides by the rule (of thumb) of 3s (inside of 3 yards, rounds, seconds)

I agree. I might end up just buying a complete Geissele rifle or two before summer, then.

I bought a non-zero undisclosed amount of stripped aero m4a1 lowers this BF too. Probably pick up an additional undisclosed non-zero amount again soon due to losing the first set to boating accident.

Hedging bets on the worst being another AWB with grandfather existing lowers, and if that lasts generations of time then I will have enough lowers to pass on to posterity.

Do many people still do the magnified dot thing? Isn't this what illuminated low power variables are for?

Is this referring only to when the magnifier is moved off line and hanging out off to the side somewhere or whatever and the dot/holo has better eye relief/box than any scope could...but what about when magnified? Do good magnifiers have a noticeably large eyebox than a good LPV at the same mag?

I suppose I could see if the magnifier is quick release and you take it off when stowing for like HD and put it on when going to the range or going out or whatever, and then it's a flip to side when mounted as well? And you want to try to do everything with one rifle and don't want a LPV for HD?

IDK. I'll just take a dotoran LPV lol

Personally, I like the LPVO. I don't get into why other people have the preferences they do, I just try to match the preference to the gear.

I don't think that there's a real reason to go T2 over MRO for most users.

Not sure. I could see the benefit though. If you are primarily shooting on 1x or with a red dot, I imagine that a true red dot like an aimpoint is just better. If you occasionally use magnification, a magnified red dot won’t be as good as an LPVO so the red dot and magnifier might be the better option if your focus is on 1x.

We have some friends here from holland and they were making a big deal about how they saw guns for sale at Walmart. I just chuckled because if they knew I had a Glock 19 with me at breakfast they’d probably freak.

I've shot a lot of their pistol ammo and it's been 100%. We will see about their rifle ammo...ARFcom indicates it's loaded pretty hot for .223, closer to M193 spec.

I haven't heard of anything catastrophic happening a la Hornady Frontier. It's not my first pick for stuff to stash away for SHTF but it'll be good burner ammo slightly cheaper than LC or Prvi.

Shot some short range rifle drills, <= 75 yd. Loving this belt setup...it gets a lot of weight off of my torso and helps stabillize things when running or transitioning to shooting kneeling or prone. Shooting with plates still sucks...need to get used to it. Exhaustion drills were not too bad, looped the house, crawl 10 m, stand and engage. Was shooting a ShootSteel SRRT.

The one thing that bugs me with the belt is that the pistol interferes with carrying the rifle slung the way I normally carry it. May try moving the holster back to 4:30 or so.

I used to have one and sold it when I relocated (it was a preban style model, no muzzle device). A basic run down...

Magazines used to be very cheap but also a crapshoot. I bought 30, about half worked reliably and I junked the rest.

Manual of arms is somewhat of a hybrid between AK and AR. Magazines rock in, but the mag release isn't a stiff utter piece of ****, so while it's AK style it's a much better execution. Charging handle is a non-reciprocating design located on the left side of the weapon which again is an improvement over the AK design.

Sights are good (AR style, circular aperture in back) but adjustment is very crude. Note, there really isn't a great way to mount an optic to a FAL whereas at least an AK generally has a side rail or gas tube mount.

Gas system is adjustable. Meh.

Recoil was relatively soft for a battle rifle and the trigger was decent.

All in all, I liked it. I'd buy another before any other battle rifle (G3, AR10, M1A), but likely won't ever buy another battle rifle. .308 just isn't cost effective for stockpiling for a semi.

G3s and AR10s are much easier to mount optics to.

Trigger on a G3 can suck.

What part of "Shall Not Be Infringed" are you having trouble with?

So my cousin is married to some fking Chinese dude. Bish visits China with him and his family for like a month not long ago.
Comes to Christmas at my Grand mothers house this afternoon bragging about how police in China don't carry guns. They carry numb chucks and know martial arts because there's literally zero guns (and therefore zero gun crime) in China.

I need ammunition for this bish in case this subject comes up again tomorrow.
