Fuking insane deal. You can barely get the poverty 20 rnd boxes for that price.
brb - case of 1,000 is about $700 anywhere else. Just got a case for $321.
Alright, **** it, I'm in for 500 rounds. About time I rotated carry ammo anyway.

Might be a hunk of ****, but still cool to know that anyone even of the absolute tightest budget can still have an AR. I remember as soon as I turned 21 I wanted an AR. I had to do a lot of googling to find a POS $600 DPMS I could afford as my first rifle. Having the option to build something for literally almost half that price sure would have been nice at that time.
In 2012the best deal going was a plain Colt 6920 for $1,180 + tax if you could find a walmart that sold one, generally they were $1,200+. And there was nothing else that good or better that cost less. Now we had black friday complete Geissele Super Duties for that price and you can still get a complete (except sights) m-lok'd Aero rifle for like $800

Even the most gucci-minded of us should be stocking up on ammo, cheap ARs, and cheap HAM radios.

You could outfit a fireteam for only a couple k.

PSA Freedom Kit (360) + Lower (40 + 20 transfer) = 420
10 mags = 80
420 round ammo can = 160
Baofeng UV82 = 30
Chicom Type 63 chest rig = 20

Total cost = 710 per person. Add an Israeli dressing, extra gauze, and a CAT TQ and you're at about 750/head to equip someone.

Was listening to Shrek’s latest podcast today and he was talking about how his friend gave him a Wilson EDC 9mm for Christmas.

That led to a discussion of 1911s vs Glocks and what he used in the Unit. He said that 1911 culture was the thing when he first got in but that you are supposed to carry 40 rounds with your handgun. So with a 1911 that’s a lot of mags and weight.

Talked about how he and other guys started switching to Glock 19s and 26s. 26s were for low vis recon missions and stuff but they suck to shoot.

Pretty common sense but basically he was saying that obviously 1911s are nicer to shoot, easier to shoot accurate, etc but not worth it for the weight.

He also said that if Virginia sends the National Guard to collect guns from civilians he’ll personally go in there and kidnap the Commander and put a gun in his face lolol. He said if there are any Virginia sheriffs out there to hit him up for help.

Relent how much do you shoot or how often do you shoot hollows??

I haven’t shot much out of my EDC. Just a mag every couple months or twice a year since that’s how often I’ve been going to the range unfortunately

Tackling the bottom tier is always a fool's errand. When ISIS was first forming, they didn't start hitting every random ING patrol. They hit checkpoints for gear, then started knocking off US-loyal officers. Insurgent movements always get better traction moving up the chain of command. Hopefully cooler heads prevail.

I pretty much only shoot defense ammo when I buy a new gun I might carry or might serve home defense duty. If 2 boxes run flawlessly through the gun, I call it good and keep a couple mags loaded with whatever I tested.

Otherwise, it's cheap FMJ only. No reason to shoot defense ammo at the range beyond ensuring it runs reliably in a gun.

Serious question here. My wife told me to go take more training early next year.

I can either do a 2 day pistol class with him in Texas OR I can do a 1 day carbine class and the next day a 1 day pistol class in Kentucky.

So do I focus on pistol and do the 2 day experience and then his carbine class at a later time or do I split it up and get a taste of both?

I'd take a shotgun class with Joe Biden before training with Yeager.

Ah, I dunno. I'm not familiar with him. I see he has a couple classes in Louisiana next year though. He's got a pistol class in February. Maybe I'll check it out. I want to know more before I spend $425 for one day though. That's getting into the very well known guys' training prices.

He’s big on this video analysis software he has where he records you shoot and shows all the errors. Sorta like taking golf lessons.

Someone here has a good break down of a class with him.

If it's a combination two day thing where everybody that signs up, signs up for both together as a bundle (carbine and pistol), that one. Otherwise, 2 day pistol. Reason, there's a lot of lead time starting a day where instructor has to go over introductions, rules, sizing people up, checking your ability to keep your finger off the ****ing trigger and maintain muzzle discipline, all that stuff...multiple days with the same group of students really speeds things up on the following day. If ti's just a one day pistol thing and a one day carbine thing that are separate but happen to be back to back days, you won't get nearly as much legit time working on stuff. Make sense.

Yeah, Proctor is like $700 for two days. This dude is over $400 for one. I mean, maybe it's worth it, I dunno.

I hear you. It just happens to be back to back days so yea maybe 2 day pistol. But there’s not a lot of shooting. Like his whole thing is that video analysis. It’s not a lot of drills and blasting away all day. Maybe the 2nd day is more drills and practice. Seems like most reviews I’ve seen have been of the 1 day class.

On another note. Just got in to a road rage incident. I was pulling out of a business parking lot to a busy road. Light turns red and the cars pile up behind and don’t leave room for me to pull out. So I creep forward and am in position to slide in to the flow of traffic quick. Light turns green. Well dude that would be behind decides he’s gonna floor it and almost hit me and then just stop in the road to make a point. So I honk and then I pull out because car behind him let me in. So I’m behind him going down the road. I pull in to the next business parking lot I’m going to and he turns around and follows me and stops his car behind me blocking me in to the parking space. I get out of the car but he stays in his.

Well that was stupid. Don't pull into the parking space just begging to be blocked in. And don't get out of your car. Now it's a mutual combat road rage vs attacker and defender (or you're seen as the aggressor according to witness testimony because you got out to confront him) and if it gets physical let alone gunplay you're legally ****ed and it's your own fault for knowingly setting up that scenario

Lol what? I was going to the business. He followed me. Am I going to sit in the car all day and not go about my business? Naw dog. I wasn’t the one that followed him and tried to elevate the situation. I didn’t get out of the car to confront him. I got out to go to the business. I’m the one that diffused it.

It's all good to go brah. I personally buy 115 or 124 simply because one of those two is what I train with so POA/POI is the same. POI is considerably different between 115gr and 147.
