Imagine living in a state where it snows. Ayy lmao. Northcels, will they ever learn?

Honestly though, it's been in the low 50's high 40's here in Vegas for a while and it rained a few days this month so I feel your pain.

San Diego hands down. Lived in both places. SD is expensive as hell but no hurricanes and the people are seriously more chill than anywhere else.

It is really humid there. Take a shower and sweat before drying off. Also some of the most senseless boat people out there. I had a short stint in Kodiak Alaska before I went to Florida. After Florida I went to Hawaii. After Hawaii, I went to California. NONE of the SAR cases in everything matched Florida. Lots of drunk ass mother****ers on a boat.

in all seriousness, dont use the slight difference in temperature in the winter between those two cities as a decision factor. "cold" in florida is like 50s during the day and max cold is like maybe the 30s inland over night, a few times a year. The difference between ft lauderdale and jacksonville is going to be so minimal for someone coming from new england.

I would look at things like job availability, housing costs, commute time, things to do in the area, housing insurance if youre buying ect

Really housing insurance is what is most expensive in Florida due to the hurricanes. Car insurance is more expensive too compared to a lot of other places but still not that bad.

edit disregard a lot of what i said as far as long term considerations, for 3 months more about what it is you like to do. If you think you want to go to miami a lot then ft lauderdale but jacksonville is closer to orlando and tampa. I never really went to miami much but yeah if you are trying to go to beach then yeah its doable in the winter even in the Tampa area, probably wont want to swim in the water but there are days in the 70s and sunny, enough to tan.

There is absolutely nothing enjoyable about the cold weather unless you ski or snowboard. Everything about it sucks.

All day
Florida still has a winter. You want to see a place with no seasons need to go even closer to the equator. Hawaii legit almost has no seasons. Winter is just less humid, a bit more rain, huge wave season is winter and other than that the difference of daylight between summer and winter is like an hour difference, almost unnoticeable, temperatures barely change, only gets to the 60s at night time which is considered cold there.

Florida is so much more expensive though. But hawaii is actually cheaper than someplace like san fran or nyc.
