The worst part about OPs story is the person complaining is probably someone who's only in the gym because of a new year's resolution.

I'm sure theyll be gone in a couple weeks

On top of that, it's a pretty goddamn awful lactic pain doing a double drop set to 10+ reps after hitting a failure point at 8 lol
except lactic acid accumulation doesn't contribute to pain.

I think technically it takes 12 hours to feel it, and what's felt immediately is something else, but that's just splitting hairs.

I know these feels. My wife kicked me out of bed for grunting like that and refusing to take off my yoga pants. I'm taking my business elsewhere and so should OP.

I have installed a pretty quality cable station in one of my rooms so that has at least knocked out some dependence on the gym. I'm planning on getting a smith machine soon. I really don't want to step foot in these places anymore
I have squat stands and a decent enough barbell set and a few kettlebells. Went to a commercial gym while I traveled for the holidays and found I didn't stray too much from the equipment I have at home. You can make do with a lot less than you think.

Goddamn staff member stands 3 feet away from me as I'm hacking my fukin brains out. Stayed composed as I could after the set, but then she gave me an attitude when I politely asked for the gym owner's card on my way out and I kind of lost my chit.

I do 8 goddamn sets a week here and you interrupt one of them.. Fuk off. This was my backoff set that I wanted 15+ on

Is that a reverse banded hack squat? Or regular?

Extreme amount of power to weight ratio. Test your vertical or broad jump. Need to see how explosive you are in those two.

I'm curious- do you even do hip thrusts OR are you just strong, and lift heavy ass weight? You look great!
Haha i have healthways through health insurance. It's $25 and you can get as many memberships as you want at gyms that participate (a lot do). I have 8, well 7 now

I don't think i've ever done a hipthrust (in the gym) lol. My main hip hinge is an RDL, but i'm doing pulls from the floor right now

We had this one guy in my old gym that would grunt/scream at least 5x worse than you, OP. The funny thing was that he was a new lifter with no mass, lifting what we would consider to be light weight. And his yops were not just reserved for the end of his working sets when he was trying to push past the point of failure - he would yell during EVERY REP of EVERY SET.

Everyone would be walking around looking at each other half smiling or pulling that Jim face from the office, slowly shaking their heads, but he never got kicked out. We even became friendly at some point. I'd spot him and try an yell him through a few more reps and I have to admit I almost lost my schit a few times because those screams got more and more intense when actual pain was involved.

Management never did schit. It was understood this was a hardcore gym that 'regular people' could join if they wanted. It was a gym run by a famous dude who worked with Arnold in the 70s. A number of members were competitive bodybuilders and physique models and we developed a really tight early AM crew where we'd all check in on each other's progress, motivate one another, and all train together. Best gym experience I've had. Truly miss this dearly.

Yeah, I figured you didn't need to do BB hip thrustsYou're just going ATG or below parallel on extremely heavy weight! That's an insane amount! AND BANDED? Explosive!!

you're strong for your size but you might be an insecure attention whore and maybe a pain in the ass for everyone in the gym and they had enough of you. there's probably more to the story that you're not telling us. maybe they were just looking for an excuse to get rid of you.

Everyone in the lifting area was cool with me, lifted with a few different people. It's the old kunts in the cardio area that had a problem.

The owner/GM took their side

it is what it is, not out here looking for justice lol.

ok. maybe the staff didn't like you because you made them look bad by being in shape and lifting heavy. not that that should be a crime.

Pretty much this. This is what happens when a gym is run by people who don't lift, like literally don't lift. 1-2 trainers lift and the one girl at the desk. Rest are fukin boomers.

The only reason I went here was because of that particular hack machine

It's sad, but this just doesn't exist anymore in many places. Too many people lifting for Instagram likes. I will say I am pretty fortunate with my current gym, we have a very good crowd, especially the 4pm-6pm hours. You can get a motivating spot from numerous guys.
