Why is it difficult for hard working, educated Americans to get a work visa?

And can you speak Italian? Sicilian brah reporting in, I can actually get Italian citizenship through bloodline just have to go through the paperwork/hoops.

If you were moving to Europe because you want to live somewhere different I think that would make more sense and be less likely to end up something you regret. Moving there for someone it seems you hardly know...that's a no from me dawg.

how has no one mentioned that OP's girl knows and gets along with each others family?

having good relationships with the in laws, and the in laws having good relationship with each other provides further strength to the family's unity.

Most people are. Look at the demographics for people who get married, people who are college educated or come from a stable upper middle class and above background almost always get married. Its basically something for the 'privileged' now. There was a good article on this, can't remember the author

Not to mention this whole “they’ve known each other 27 days and want to get married” thing is a huge red flag showing they’re not really thinking and just living a fantasy. Trust me, I went through this
I believe you. But I have also known people that married quickly and it worked out. I think Cass has said she married her guy PDQ.

Thing is, there is a chance of finding true love for OP, which is worth it 100% when you take into consideration that anything else is just going to be a codependent style relationship, where you grow to resent your partner sooner rather than later and then move on to the next: rinsing and repeating until you die; almost like chasing the dragon.

Believe it or not, there is cases where people marry and live a generally happy life til death does them apart.

It might not happen for you, me, or even OP, but it does happen for some people.
Agree. Take precautions...like maybe keep most of that savings stashed for some time. Otherwise seems to me the time is ideal to take a chance.

Same with having a lot of children. Some people that are really poor will, but if you are in a decent area and see a family with a lot of kids chances are good they have money. See: Eddie Murphy with 10 kids, Brad and Angelina with 6 kids, etc. I think the estimated cost to raise a child now in the US is over $200K.

This. She is very close friends with my cousin who lives overseas. they worked at the same designer for a year before she ended up moving to paris to pursue another job. She met my entire family and is very close with them. She is not some stranger to us and I have generally good sense when it comes to determining if a girl is a waste of time or not.

She has been very adamant that she doesnt want to move to the USA but would do it to be closer to me.(i dont want to force her here) She would come only if she was able to find work (meaning id prob have to move to new york or something where there are fashion shows etc.) she works in high fashion dress making (think gucci, versace, dolce, etc.) I am not going to specify which company but those companies are mainly in milan and paris.

Well, that much was obvious anyway.

Pretty women can kill a man’s rational faculties. Everything OP described so far is emotional - based on lust/chemistry/infatuation. That’s why I’m telling him to tread defensively.

Unless OP, you have evidence of strong virtues and values, you’ve dealt with conflict, you’ve negotiated, you’ve determined and compromised on life paths and family desires etc?

Be nice to your siblings: they're your best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.

You sound like a beta, she will eventually leave you for not being a leader/ masculine. You are giving up your stability for love and slowly you will lose confidence as she is making more money than you. It will be easy for another man with more resources and sexual value to take her away from you. I know this sounds harsh but it is true and some men have to learn the hard way. So enjoy it while you can cause it will not end well for you.

Knowing someone for 27 days and saying your in love and want to move and get married is a sign of beta/insecurity and childishness. Yes when I was younger I to thought I was in love after 10 days/ a month but you learn from mistakes, finding someone attractive is not love worth moving for and giving up your stability. True love is after a year at this point you will know for sure maybe 2 years that it is worth the move.
I just want to share the knowledge I have obtained throughout my life and hopefully change someone's life.
