You could walk? Use a Car? Bike? Obviously if your going to get someone to deliver your sh*t, it’s going to be a bit more costly.

It's a money pit. I usually pay $24 (with tip) for a burger and some fries when I forget to bring my lunch.

I'm pretty sure the only reason people use these apps is because they're convenient and you don't have to talk to anyone.

I mean.. it's a luxury. So.. IDK wtf you're thinking.. You want it free bc you're so special? lol.

I love Uber eats - Sure I may pay more at the end of the day for whatever TF I'm ordering but the convenience is amazing. Don't have to leave office or miss a call. Don't have to go outside in the rain or chit weather.

it's almost as if paying for a service that's strictly convenience based is going to be costly due to convenience.

Uber Eats is for "i'm so ****ing hungover I can't get my own McDonald's" or getting food delivered from a restaurant that doesn't deliver. those are it's use cases, it should not be your go to method of take out.

How is it a scam? It gives a break down all of the pricing in the second photo.

It’s $5.40 to have delivered, all other fees are just part of the meal including taxes and the tip you had selected.

OP I can’t believe you have a job making $40k. That’s way too generous for someone who can’t understand how pricing works.

They mark up the prices of the food items on the menu too. There in lies your scam.

It's that stupid 'service fee' that get ya.

The amount of money I've spent on Uber eats and Postmates is insane.

Postmates is worse. They always send me a notification of some great deal and then when I go to checkout using said deal theres 10$ + in fees. Some deal.

Some restaurants do and some don't. I have family who are in the business and they tell me they refuse to even though it cuts into their margins. Uber eats / Grub Hub / Mics - all take 30% from the restaurants per order to be in their featured rotation.

This is a business.. I'm assuming you don't know how those things work.. Everyone is trying to keep their lights on. You are obviously not their target audience.. just keep bitching about your $10 delivery fee and go get something to eat yourself.

Wings are fukn expensive, that's the clincher here. I'm surprised they even give you a count (assuming that's what the 13 is), normally its by the pound because a pound of wings sounds like a lot until they arrive and it's like 7 of them
