Late to the party but...

I drove a Wrangler around the other night that had way more features than all your Toyotas combined. A WRANGLER. Just lol. (heated steering wheel included and my god that thing is glorious)

But muh reliability! Yes, the next owner will appreciate that you overpaid for an under featured vehicle as they enjoy it through the golden years since you inevitably traded it off before "muh reliability" even started to matter.

Just lol at all the "but my smartphone can do all that by itself". Yes, it can. Have fun handling your phone and your keys every time you get in and out of your vehicle. Imagine if neither one ever had to leave your pocket.

Wow. All time high in this thread for vehicle talk. Someone talking highly about Jeep. Literally one of the absolute most garbage ass brands in the industry in the last 10 years or so. Pretty sure Jeep and Palmetto State Armory hired the same guys for their QC.

Holosun is killing it right now. The 507 is -the- budget dot to own. It has proven that it can take the beating of a reciprocating slide and keep going. It can't take the direct physical abuse an RMR can (see Aaron Cowans optic testing vids), but 99% of people won't be purposely dropping their guns optic first onto concrete repeatedly, so that shouldn't be an issue.

I had a rental Ram for a week. One of the new design 2019s. That's what had the heated steering wheel. It was just a Big Horn trim, or whichever one is pretty basic, like equivalent to F150 XLT (priced similar to or below and XLT). Yet it had heated seats, heated steering wheel, android auto, power fold side mirrors, 4-Auto, dual zone electronic climate control (I forgot that one in my big list earlier), backup camera, backup sensors, forward parking sensor. Very well equipped for a very reasonable price. I miss that heated steering wheel. The problem, it's still a Fiat which is even worse than being a Dodge so **** that. The 5.7 hemi was okay and it had a payload sticker over 1800 lbs even though it was a quad cab. Rode well. But, no want dodge. Didn't like some things about it too and wouldn't trust owning one. BUT it was very well equipped for the price and they do great in crash tests, very safe

Do you gents have any recommendations for a rifle cleaning kit? Do I need to give the rifle a full cleaning before first use?

We went to test drive a Jeep before we bought the 4Runner and it had stormed that morning. Opened the door and there was water standing in the floorboard. Brand new vehicle, no thanks Jeff

It's tough to drop the stigma of just being the cheap brand in the firearm industry. That's Holosun's biggest fight to get more market share IMO. They're generally thought of us just the budget brand that can't handle the duties that the bigger guys like Trijicon can. And in some ways that's still true - but in many ways far from it. Holosun is doing a lot of good **** and people need to give them more credit IMO.

Jeeps are garbage. I had a Cherokee that something was broken on every other week it seemed like. (Bought brand new and I baby my vehicles and take very good care of them. I'm not rough on them at all.)
By the time I ditched the hunk of ****, it didn't even have 30K miles on it and the list of things broken (that I can remember, there's more), is:
Little piece you disengage to move the shift lever broke.
Windshield washer fluid pump went out.
Around ~15k miles into owning it, the front brakes began having an obnoxious squealing noise. Dealer didn't know what it was, so they just put brand new pads on it which fixed it.
Pretty sure the power steering was about to **** the bed because it made a loud humming noise off and on that it didn't make when it was new.

Aside from that, it was at the dealer probably 4 or 5 times for different recalls (a couple of which were quite serious and dangerous).

I don't think I know anyone that I can think of right off that owns a Jeep product and doesn't think it's a piece of **** or they already got rid of it unless it's a much older Wrangler.

I barely clean. Lube the BCG really well. Especially the cam pin and the rails on the BCG.

I use an Otis rip cord to clean the bore when I’m done shooting.

I’ll scrub things with Hoppes or something after thousands of rounds.

Some old cotton t-shirts or shop rages or whatever whatever

All you need to do before shooting it is pop the rear takedown pin and pull the bolt carrier group (BCG) and charging handle (CH) out, look down the bore (inside of the barrel, point it up at a light) to make sure it's not obstructed with anything, put some oil on it (check owner's manual or YouTube for any of this stuff), and go shoot it. Then shoot it some more. Maybe add some oil, then shoot it some more. Run the snake through if you feel like, don't if you don't. Field strip (super easy, check YouTube) it and wipe the BCG down with rags and apply oil, shoot it some more

I bought a brand new 2012 Wrangler. By 2014 MAYBE 2015 I started having electrical problems with it. Had multiple other recalls while I had it too. As “cool” as a Wrangler is, it’s the worst new vehicle I’ve ever had. Traded it in as soon as a dealership offered me a decent value. Which brings me to the one truly good quality....wranglers hold their value really well.
Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.

Performance and performance alone dictates the predator in any food chain.

Came across this while browsing new shot show stuff. G43 frame that takes P365 mags. So basically a G43 with flush fitting 10 round mags or extended 15 rounders. I believe shield arms is working on a P365 mag that will hold more rounds than the standard without sacrificing size as well
