Well, turns out I have melanoma (srs)

Had three moles change shape and I've been having major issues with sores not healing and being incredibly lethargic.

Got the phone call from the urgent Care I went to, today, that said the biopsy came back positive.

I go in tomorrow to figure out more.

Feelsbadman. This is the third time I've had cancer. And now I've got kids to worry about. I just wanna cry.

pretty good prognosis if caught early, what stage is it? Anyway, you are going to be fine, stay positive.

No. I had follicular thyroid carcinoma and then pituitary cancer. Both were easy to get rid of (simple surgeries). My mom (a nurse) got me more freaked out about this one, though. So I'm in full blown panic mode.

Was it a MOHS doctor who removed the moles?

My sister had a mole come back positive but the MOHS doctor was able to get all of it.

No, it was an urgent care/clinic doctor. My primary care physician isn't there Thursday through Sunday.
I went in primarily for the sores not healing and the lethargy and the doctor noticed the moles.

WTF would an urgent care doc remove suspicious moles? Why were you not sent to a dermatologist, specifically one trained in MOHS?

I'm going in to the doctor tomorrow to get the rest looked at and discuss options.
They used this little hole punch looking thing to do it and seemed to know what they were doing. It's not 100% an urgent care. It's also a clinic, they just happen to have more hours available.

well hopefully they can just cut out the moles and that's that. Best of luck! I have quite a few small scars from cut out moles although just for biopsies so far. But I'm fair skinned and have like 100 moles on my body so I have the dermatologist look at em every year.

Gosh, I am so sorry Zyra. I'm glad you went to get them checked, though. Is this your third time with melanoma? I know you want to cry because cancer is scary AF. Cry. Let out the sadness and tears. Get angry. But then stand up and be defiant. Get this cr@p out of your life.

Yeah, I've always had a ton.
I noticed the one he removed changing a bit and starting to bleed, but thought it was just my bra rubbing against it (it's in my armpit).

Man that really sucks, I'm sorry Zyra. Hang in there, rot your brain and do whatever comforts you tonight. Feel free to reach out at any time, I've been there and it's chitty but survivable.

I would be very interested in hearing from other women diagnosed and where their "spots" were found. Mine were all around my armpit and really all around my bra line/wire cup as well.
