We refused to accept the Euro as a currency

When they tried to debate a reversal of our rebate we not only veto'ed that we veto'ed them even being allowed to discuss it lol.

It was the UK who came up and argued for a single market in the first place, something some now want to turn our back on.

They tried to get us to give prisoners the vote, we said no, they took us to court and won, we then tied the whole thing up is legislation and then ignored it lol and EU didn't dare push it.

95% of all EU legislation over the last decade or so was agreed by the UK so the vast majority of the time we got our own way.
My understanding is Brexit really helps protect the working class. Previously Eastern Euros could come in and compete with working class jobs pushing down wages and opportunities for the locals. Now anyone wanting to work in GB will need a work visa.

It's going to be very good for the UK as long as Labour is not in power for the next several years. If Labour comes back to power, they will sabotage the exit process and try and make life miserable so they can blame Brexit.

In reality, the UK is going to be able to negotiate their own trade deals with terms beneficial to them, without having British hating bureaucrats in Brussels dictating terms to them.

Britcels are so brainwashed that they can't see than freedom from foreign interference in domestic affairs is a good thing. If the rest of the EU was so convinced that the UK was going to suffer for leaving, they wouldn't have fought so hard to force them to stay. Never assume that the French or German or anyone else in Europe has only benign motives for trying to keep the UK hopelessly entangled by the Brussels bureaucracy.

Didn't the EU tell UK fishermen that they couldn't fish their own waters, while at the same time allowing other EU countries to fish British waters? Yeah, that's Brussels looking out for what's in the best interest of Brits... LOL.

Well for one they can look from afar during the next eu crisis (happens once every 3-5 years), or, during its eventual breakup (could be tomorrow could be decades away).

They will just negotiate trade deals with everyone and have the same situation as they had before leaving the EU, minus the being pushed around by the EU part.

Short term pain, long term gain basically.

I am Eastern Euro and literally my pro-Brexit colleague that regularly invites me to barbeques at his house with his family just doesn't like immigration from Islamic countries. Because when you walk into a muslim neighbourhood in London you feel like an outsider dead srs.

Let me pick your brain on something, mate.

You mentioned "culture basically same as ours", which is entirely correct - white European Christian. A lot of good overlap between Eastern Europe and Western Europe.

How about the Chinese diaspora? Culturally totally NOT like you but those I work with are respectful and culturally still assimilate. Yes, of course, there is a cultural ecosystem created but you never feel like an outsider.

The one culture every pro-Brexit UKer talks about has a common religious denominator.

When was the last time a Chinese blew themselves up?

Lol u wot m8

Please tell me what criteria one must reach to be classed as British .....

And now about the NHS, just because you don’t care about it there are thousands of people who rely on it as a way to stay alive, e.g illnesses which require a lifetime worth of medication, of which currently is at a set price or subsidised for the less fortunate.

The NHS is the greatest thing about England and for someone like you to wish it gone shows you have zero empathy for anyone but yourself.

Funny how a lot of people say this but....

Mass muslim immigration occurred during the 60s, 70s and 80s.

According to many many sources the majority of people got along, sure they’re were racial tensions but for the most part people just got on with their lives

Mass European immigration occurred during the 2000s, and as a product of that era I can safely say how I noticed racial tensions slowly rising during this time..... the Polish immigrants coming to the UK and undercutting wages, the Roma communities arriving en mass, the Slovakian immigrants arriving in England by bus without being screened etc ....

This is not me passing the blame from the Muslims to the non Muslim immigrants, the Muslims sure have their own issues that need sorting out but to just blame Muslims for why people voted brexit means that people have hated them since the 70s

It's also funny how the British are understating the anti-Slavic sentiment in the UK.
I am French and when I was in London in the 2000s, I noticed that British people (I am talking real ethnic Britons) were constantly complaining about the "damn Polish plumbers and workers", aswell as the Romanians, Bulgarians, etc. that were taking mostly working class British jobs.

I think the EU free roaming of people rule (Schengen) is what drove a huge part of the British BREXIT.
British people were sick and tired of being flooded with Slavic immigrants to the point there was not a single Briton in the neighborhood anymore, and cities were losing their British feel.

Honestly in France it's a very similar feeling and its hilarious. There is the North African Muslim community, which commits alot of crimes, but French people don't say **** about them and are very PC about them. Because for some reason, because they've been here so long, people just stop talking about them.

But when it comes to newly arrived immigrants (Romanians, Chinese), all hell breaks lose and its borderline racist comments ("****ing Romanis", "Damn Ching Chongs", etc).

UK kind of feels like a puppet state anyhow.
Only country in Europe which perpetually followed the US in anything they did no matter how wrong (ie: Iraq war, Afghanistan).
And why when Boris Johnson made that 5G deal with the Chinese, all of the sudden, American Secretary of State comes to UK to "have a talk".
It's like British government is perpetually licking US gov boots.

Sure, the job thing is a real sentiment and I am Bulgarian so I am not biased.

The difference is other immigrants also take jobs, or sometimes directly hop onto welfare and have a ****ton more kid, but also on top of that "losing British feel" is something non-Slavic immigrant communities do rapidly.

When have you seen Eastern EU people enforce their own culture? All of my british banker friends complain about how their favourite escort agency drives up prices because now they have to have a lot more pimps due to the Muslim communities harassing and threatening sex workers because it is against Sharia Law and crazy **** like that. Also the UK ate a lot of bombs - IDK how even the most real Slavic immigrant problems can even compare to that.

When you move to a place you either assimilate or you leave simple as that.

Also, some right-wing Brittons are a bit self-contradicting - they follow and preach the "Britain for British, jobs for British first" but at the same time they tell me things like:

- "When I need to do various jobs on the house instead of hiring 4 British tradesmen I hire only 1-2 Bulgarian ones because they have a more diverse skillset and I pay the charge only for 1-2 guys."

- "Why should I hire a 16-yo British entitled teenager for a housemaid work when I can hire a Philipina for 1/2 the price and get out a cheeky handjob out of it to make her motivate me to sponsor her visa?"

Self-interest trumps all innit ?

I don’t think anyone could sensibly claim that it’s mostly because of Muslims, just as many people complain about Eastern European’s coming over and undercutting everyone as you say. It’s 70% not being allowed control of our borders and 30% not liking being dictated to by a country we beat in two wars. We’re the most powerful country in Europe and always will be, we don’t need to be subservient to anyone.

Well you better watch the British government closely so they don't sell out half your country (NHS, etc) to American investors.
The British need the Americans more than the reverse, so its possible the British will cut some bad deals.

Also it's highly possible the UK will break up due to BREXIT. Northern Ireland & Scotland might very well break off.

How is having a larger net for drugs tenders selling the NHS? I don’t get how anyone can’t grasp this concept? It’s literally just allowing the US to have the opportunity to supply drugs for the NHS, if they’re cheaper then our current supplier we’d use them and it’s a good deal for both sides, if not we won’t.
No it’s really not likely that the U.K. will break up, you just made that up. There’s zero chance the Scots will be allowed a referendum on it and if they did they’d vote to remain in it yet again, they’re all mouth and know they’ve got a good deal with us. We wanted them to leave last time and they didn’t.

Pretty much no one has the beginning of a clue what any of this means on an economic or national level.
Ultimately all of this is steered by elites (like Farage) who are doing this for political gain.
wasnt there a vote?

Btw.... These are the University Students who have been indoctrinated into leftist culture by the left-leaning universities, they need safe spaces, believe in communism and think that you can change your biological sex.

A bunch of woke students who have no real world experience.

Vs.

A bunch of older geezers who have worked their whole lives and have more life experience in their little toenails.

Yeah, gee.... no idea which ones I would trust more.
You mean a bunch of older geezers who rarely leave their village and never got anything higher than a few gcse's?

Right, so one should rather listen to the geezers who voted the UK into the EU in the first place and were partially complicit in creating the problems, instead of the young people who had no part in any of it, could actually benefit from EU Membership and/or already enjoy the benefits. Cuz they be old, they know best.

Solid logic.
