I think it's good that Britain is out of the EU. They weren't committed to it anyway, keeping their currency and behaving like special snowflakes all the time.
Let's hope they somehow can prevent to be bullied around by big global players because they aren't really an economic force on their own in modern times. They already took a big L with Elon Musk choosing to build his european gigafactory here in Germany now instead of GB because of Brexit as he said it.
The populists like to say that it's going to be glorious but there's a big danger of GB going down the ****ter in the next years economically and becoming an unstable region when Ireland and Scotland want to be part of EU in that case.

How tf can someone be so delusional?

Do you honestly believe that leaving the customs union and the Single Market (tariffs say hi) is somehow beneficial for the UK? And that the EU will cut them a unique deal - flipping off Norway among others - where they can just access it without any pay-off? Also lol if you actually believe that anyone would cut the UK a better deal than if it were still a part of the EU and having a common platform with 27 other countries.

Takes two to tango.
That’s hardly a unique scenario. Same as Americans hiring Mexicans for cheap labour despite not wanting them in their country. As far as I’m aware they’re working on legislation to minimise it happening.

I mean every other country in the entire world manages to not be bullied, I’m sure as the 6th/7th biggest in the world little old U.K. will cope. You might wanna be more worried about your own economy since it’s going down the pan buddy

Wishful thinking. While most young college students are probably brainwashed leftists, a lot of people who voted leave seem to not know why the fuk they voted leave in the first place (pros and cons) besides "muh freedom"

That's the story that was told to get people to vote to leave but the reality is quite different. If we wanted to prevent wages being pushed down the government only needs to raise the minimum wage which they are doing anyway.

Plus since the referendum many EU migration has drastically reduced, but overall migration has remained pretty steady, a slight decline but not much. Why is that you ask? Well we have many industries with skills shortages and need migrants to fill those roles so instead of Polish, Spanish and Italians were now letting in more Patkistani's, Indians, Brazilians etc.

UK right not has the lowest unemployment rate in over 40 years at only 3.8%. Fact is if people want jobs they can get them there isn't a shortage of jobs but there is a shortage of workers as I mentioned before and it's not about pay, there just aren't the people with the necessary skills or the people who want to do these type of jobs.

I never said it was unique to the UK.

I am just saying that it is amazingly hypocritical.

Lol "going down the pan" sure. Germany's economy has grown for 10 consecutive years. Last year it grew a little less and forecasts already say it's going to pick up again this year. Compare german GDP year-on-year growth with that of UK for the past years: Germany has an upward trend while UK is going down ever since the referendum. I hope that Brexit will work out for your people but it's not off to a good start.

This. UK most likely will get worse trade deals with US, China and EU now on it's own with less foreign companies investing in UK as an industry location (as it alreadyishappening).

Spoken to quite a few people who said they voted purely because of the promise of £350 million a week to the NHS

They’ve all pretty much said if there was a second referendum they would have voted remain

Hardcore brexiteers haven’t really given any valid points why leaving they eu is beneficial to the uk citizens

Yeah the referendum result really hit UK growth pretty hard we went from one of the fastest growing economies in the UE to barely growing at all at the moment. We were the 5th largest economy in the world before the referendum we are now the 7th as France and India have surpassed us.

My prediction is where the UK will be hit hard will be anything manufactured in Britain.
However Thatcher already did a good job making sure these sectors were demolished and Britain was turned into a largely tertiary sector economy.
The financial services economy is huge in England, and maybe the UK can become some big Hong Kong?
Also their intellectual capital is high, they surely are good with computer science/engineering and the like.

Greece have actually paid off the vast majority of the loan, they only owe 9.4 billion now from an original debt of almost 300 billion. So it looks like Greece has learned to manage it's finances better.

London is still the financial capital of the world, however it was already hit pretty hard after the referendum. Since then companies moved over £1 trillion of assets and 7-10.000 jobs and since nobody knows what tf will happen during the transition period and what kind of deals they can end up with, this continues to hurt the sector pretty bad.

Even if they eventually figure it out (big if), there will be a lot of rebuilding to do.

Pest & Cholera.
Chinese conduct large scale industrial espionage in the EU/West.
Take over universities, take over jobs, etc.
Then eventually F back off to the motherland and provide everything they stole.
Later they come back with cash and buy European assets/companies, etc.

Well let's hope that this will be the case because UK will need it as it was passed by India and France as already mentioned in this thread. Germany is the worlds 4th largest economy btw while UK has been knocked down from 5th to 7th now. You can cite any newspaper you want but facts will stay facts.

No shame in that, India are gonna be a huge economy and France is neither here nor there, the difference is negligible. Germany are bound to be a big economy, you have no military to fund where we cut your balls off so you just focus all that pent up aggression making boring cars instead.

yeh im a native

i think most people look for who ever is gonna be the cheapest to hire my mates are mostly tradies and working class guys like myself from either the uk or eastern block and i honestly think eastern block lads are willing to work harder for more hours some of them charge exact same as my scottish mates but have a good rep for being hard workers so people hire them and they will usualy get the work done quicker to the same quality

on a side note a few mates work together polish and scottish guys and get on great but both refuse to do work for muslims both go out to pubs etc watch football we go to each others houses for bbqs etc spend time with each others familys and we are very much the same people just from diffrent countrys same cannot be said for the muslim population
