Honestly people, were you expecting award winning performances? Come on! Lighten up and just enjoy the film as it is. It is a fun, entertaining movie with badass women! All the actors looked like they were having a lot of fun filming this and it shows. Seriously, some comments saying they did not enjoy the film because the angels were not "sexy" or "pretty" enough... well they obviously missed the point. It is about female empowerment and not about being objectified. Just lighten up and enjoy it! For me personally it was refreshing. There will always be some predictable moments but I thoroughly enjoyed it and liked the twists! Don't think of it as a reboot, think of it it as a new film with a new story to tell. Make sure to keep watching till the credits

while The Hollywood Reporter observed that the film specifically "failed to attract moviegoers over the age of 35," as well as "younger females—its target audience—in enough numbers.
Not only did I not find out about the movie until like 2 days before it came out, but I had no interest in seeing it either if I did know about it. I had no clue who the actors were outside of Kristin Stewart (who has the history of being an actress with the personality of a spoon. I also have never seen anything about Charlies Angels because the franchise is dead. The last Charlies Angels to come out was in 2011 which was before this whole feminist movement, and it got canceled after 4 episodes.

I watched Birds of Prey and both my sister and I fell asleep during the movie. I have no problem seeing an all female movie, Ocean's 8, Bad Moms, Bridesmaids, Pitch Perfect, A League of their Own, are all good movies. If they wanted this to do well, they should have cast it better and had a better story line. Now that this movie is ass, it will just reinforce the stereotype that women movies suck ass.

I'm looking forward to No Time to Die with this rumored 007 agent who is played by an black female. I think they'll pull it off pretty well. I do think however rehashing the same story over and over again, as well as recasting historically set roles is not the way to promote female characters. I think new stories and characters should be made and built off existing popular male/female roles. Finally, saying that a comic book is a male genre kind of defeats their entire argument before it even begins.

Maybe if they want men to see it get some hot white women and have them run around with their tits hanging out. You know like Charlie's angels is supposed to be. Fronting it with a bull dike and a couple women of color looks like a recipe for disaster.

Not a particularly interesting story, not particularly good actresses and not particularly good looking either. That + poor production + no marketing = BOMBS.
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

Yeah but Kristin Depression was in those wolf movies based off iconic books and the movie tanks.

I'm not watching either of them. About as appealing as the Super Bowl halftime show.

The mental gymnastics she is doing to blame men is pathetic. The reality is there were two Charlies Angels films in 2000 & 2003-both with a huge name cast & neither of them very good. The first one was a huge success, the second one not that big-an indication that nobody really wanted a second film & it had run its course after one blast of nostalgia, so why would anybody want a third one with a bunch of zero names? Maybe she should ask why the Alliance Of Women Film Journalists-which was set up to support women in the film business & has 84 female journalists & zero men have just voted it the sequel/remake that shouldn't have been made & Kristin Stewart for actress most in need of a new agent?

lol

1. I didn't even know there was another remake going on. Heck my movie theater didn't even advertise it, didn't even see a single advert promoting it.
2. Man, that IP is old af you can't expect a remake to draw people in.
3. It's men's fault for the movie bombing? I feel it is a multitude of issues going on here.
Just keep on going.

Apparently even teenage girls which one would think is the target audience for this dreck didn't go to see it, which shows that either the promotion of this film sucks or even they are getting fed up of this SJW agenda. After all the cinema is supposed to be a mindless escape from the bs going on in real life for 2-3 hours, not having it rammed down your throat.

"In those wolf movies".

You 100% now its name, and also you 100% know that the main characters are vampires. Dont try to be edgy now just admit you watched the entire trilogy

I still respect Elizabeth Banks in a broke sloot doin porn Zach & Miri kind of way... but the only way I would spend a fkn nickel to see this is if Ella Balinska (not acting like I knew who the fk she was.. just saw a pic and had to google) made the entire movie with her clam out... her nice... light brown (no racist)… smooth clam

It's funny how now we always have to come up with some other reason/excuse for our own personal failures. Movie bombs and rather than just say "You know we worked hard on it and I think just missed the mark a bit. Perhaps it was timing or a failure to read the market, but we'll do better next time." they have to blame an entire group of people in some gender war. So ****ing typical and just absolutely pathetic.
