Neighbor on the other side of me has a pit (house behind me); whenever I go outback it runs into my fence hard enough to often snap fence boards. I have replaced about half the fence, only does it when people go outback, not when it's just my dog.

Waiting for it to come through the fence one day, .357 hollow points or 00 Buck ready to go in case it does.

Owner tell me he's just really excited and loves people. My ass.

My neighbors pit is going to put them on the news one day. Dog barks and snarls at people as they walk by and they let their 7 year old idiot walk around with it on a thin leash meant for a small dog.
Just keep on going.

My rottie would never. Homie killed a rat once in my backyard and started crying afterwards.


I don’t even tie him up in my suburban neighborhood at times in the summers for last 7 years. Very cautious with small dogs and people. But if your wearing a hoodie or loud or aggressive he goes into being guard dog, protective over the family, etc.

The American Pitbull Terrier is a game dog with an extraordinarily high prey drive. Some think they don't even recognize kids are real people due to their size.


They are also probably the most over and poorly bred dog breed in the country.

Back in the day they were called "America's dog" and were in tons of American homes. You used to be able to steal them off other people yards because they showed so little human agression.

Not sure exactly what happened but most of what you see today are "street pitties" or a better way of labeling them would be "American bandogges" they aren't true APBT.



Family loves the breed. That said I will probably pass over them and seek out something more human protective and better with children like a Dogo, Rottie or Tibetan Mastiff.

I have a morbid fantasy of having someone break into my home or get jumped by someone that doesn't know I have a blue nose pit bull. And then just torturing them. Let the dog get a bite in here and there. A couple of kicks to the ribs.

But in reality she's very people friendly so I don't really know how she would react to me getting attacked. Generally speaking pit bulls are people friendly but dog aggressive. They were bred for that, can't have a game dog attacking its owner before it's even let into the pit to fight the other dog. Pit bulls make **** guard dogs for this reason.
