No. Maybe for a slow, careful, very precise or long range shot, you might kinda squint the off eye just a little bit, or some people still do the weird scotch tape over the off eye on their glasses thing, but, for practical/defensive/tactical/quick pistol shooting...it's both eyes open. Same for that kind of shooting with a carbine which is one of the reasons red dots on rifles are so popular (as well as true 1x LPVO)

PS when shooting quick, you don't [really] worry about aligning the sights consciously, it's a strict front sight focus and your eyes/brain will naturally line the front sight close-enough in the rear notch, especially when reinforced by also doing slow deliberate precise shooting in which you do focus on aligning the front in the rear

Hnnnggg gun. Lots of people at my PD have been getting them recently, but they're just so heavy to carry around all day, also really limited on duty holsters. Just got the p320rx to test out and see if that'll replace the POS Glock 22 the department gave me.

Anybody shot this yet?



I shot this today in my woods off of my LAB belt with a retention holster and scored a 105.06, so "advanced." I'll shoot it again with a proper concealment holster on flat ground to see what that changes. I do notice that my draw time from a retention holster is ~.40 s slower than concealed OWB under a jacket.

It's the "cool guy gun" at the moment. Everyone talking about how the added weight is worth it because it helps with follow up shots, blah blah blah. Shot it. Love it. Too heavy for me to want to carry all day. I work for a pretty decently sized/populated city, but it's an upper class suburb where half our houses cost >$900k, lots of guys want to be taticool because they think it makes them a better street cop or something when really you just need good people skills and to not be an idiot.

We've been getting a lot of demand on the LE side of the house for a TXG grip module equipped duty gun. It's the cool new high speed thing to do. That said, I shoot one in USPSA and it's absolutely awesome. I just don't think I would want one on a duty belt all day.

Im also getting that romeo 0 (heard you guys are releasing a new housing for it) for my P365 XL. ordered a vedder modified holster for it. Going all SIG SOUR nowadays

I look into the political contributions of every company just as hard as I do benchmade. And am just as happy to buy from the every bit as good (if not better) competition as a result. Leatherman is on that list too BTW.

The rear notch on the Romeo1Pro makes a great backup with the fiber optic front. I ran one like that for awhile. Now my gun is setup for Carry Optics so I'm running the Romeo3Max without any backup sights.

For those that are looking at an optic equipped pistol for duty/defense the new XSeries RXP pistols just started shipping. They have suppressor height XRay3 backup sights along with the Romeo1Pro.

I don't have an opinion on the Romeo Zero but that's only because they're so new I don't have one. I've had a Shield RMSw on my personal XL for 6 months or so. I'll give the zero a shot when I can get one, right now they're all going to gun builds.

That's not bad at all for a moose depending on accomodations. I know a couple of places in Canada where you can do it for 4-4500ish. 6K for Moose in the US is pretty good

I don't HAVE to buy anything. Plenty options out there and it's a damn good deal that i felt like passing along. They're all individual contributions from what i saw and they sponsor guys that support the 2nd amendment like Andy Stumpf. Not to mention they're based in Oregon and the people they gave money to support public land unlike their conservative counterparts. So it's a push for me
