My wife is from Minas and I have fun down there. Might buy an apartment and Airbnb it out when we aren’t there.

What the fuk is going on ITT

So here’s the deal bro’s, I’m in the gym now (doing shoulders) and I’ve been grappling with a dilemma since Thursday

I bought a police trade-in Remington 870 Police Magnum 12 gauge (wood furniture) a while ago, love it, feels great in the hands

I’ve got a line on several more of them from the same store, older Police Magnums and a couple Wingmasters, some wood furniture and some polymer, some with rifle sights, one with ghost ring sights even, all for pretty cheap (ranging from $240-$270 each)

Is there anything wrong with having five or six of the same 12 gauge shotgun? I could transfer them all at the same time with my FFL and just pay one $20 transfer fee for all of them

What are the advantages of having a bunch of the same shotgun aside from satisfying the paranoid/preppier part of my mind?

Edit: did the entire MFC crew except for me and meatie get banned?

Extra parts if nothing else, also they are solid guns. Main thing that keeps me from buying guns like that is you never know what you get (at least when we sold off our S&W .38s). Some were mint and never used, others were beaten to hell. You buy one and they send you whatever.

dilemna of mine too!

i've got just about every type of firearm "class"

pocket
sub compact
standard (?)
ar 15
12 gauge
.338 lapua

but i am wanting more, but really don't have a purpose other than i do and they're awesome!
def need more ammo, have maybe 2k 556 and 500 .223
1.5k 9mm
and the others just a few as they're not used as much.

so i think very cool to have that many and perhaps become classics like the Colt AR??? but idk. I like the look of them and i know this is just a lot of talk, but w/e idc.

Maybe you'll find something useful out of this.

Worst case scenario, just flip a coin!
the above post is not serious and is for entertainment purposes only.
Thanks for your time.

Kind of boring unless you really like watching noob shooting by a nobody.

Oh, I really got to practice the draw as soon as I hear the timer, rather than at the end of the timer. I do use random timer starts, but still.... or maybe I'm just getting old.

Forgot: Orpaz Level 2 Retention Holster
In the same boat re moving your hand...I'm trying to get my first round off in under 1.35 and it's actually a pretty difficult time to break.

The other thing that's getting me traction is support hand. I was able to break 1.35 fairly consistently by focusing on moving my support hand to the target instead of my gun hand. Gun hand is doing his job, it's the support hand that's usually ****ing it up. Give that a shot.

As a fairly new shooter would there be a benefit to posting a video of me shooting at an indoor range and looking for any tips on stance/technique? Or would it be too subjective?

Go for it. We can give you feedback on grip, anticipating recoil, etc. that might come out on video. It would be helpful to also see your target.

Thanks, here's a quick clip at 20 yards. I don't think you can tell from the video where the impacts are but I was putting the shots into the small silhouette in the top left on the target. Grouping was pretty tight but it should be for this distance. Sorry if the angle sucks, I'm not sure you can do much better at an indoor range with filming.

Hard to see much there. Lean into it a little, you have the size and upper body weight to get away with it pretty well but you'll still be better off leaning forward in a semi-aggressive stance, think more like weight over balls of your feet or midfoot at least, you want to be able to rip off a rapid string without getting pushed back towards your heals at all.

I think renting it out would be a headache. Should be able to pocket a few $$, which is nice as a member of poor crew.

I should find out in the next few weeks, but I think I'll end up in FL or VA. Minor chance of MD

This is good advice. If your toes are coming up your weight is too far back. Some more critique...you're bladed to the target which is going to hurt your ability to make fast followup shots. In ideal an ideal setting you want your hips squared off to your target, feet roughly shoulder width apart, toes faces the direction of the target with your strong-side foot slightly back. It puts you in position where you can more effectively mitigate recoil. With a slight forward lean and a squared off stance you'll only be getting vertical recoil instead of the tendency for the gun to follow the direction of your hips. And because it's largely neutral it will take longer to fatigue (might not matter for an afternoon plinking but do a high round count carbine course and it catches up with you). The other big offender to watch out for is the "tactical turtle." That being the tendency to pop your head up and down to meet the sights. In a good stance you're bringing the gun to your eyes without head movement. You're looking to eliminate wasted movement wherever possible.

There are tons of great videos out there to check out. I always tell people to find a reputable training facility and get some classes in.

What I REALLY want is an OWB holster that can fit both an X5 and an Xcarry. Think such a thing even exists?

You want to be less bladed to the target. 45 degrees at max, and get your left arm down. More bend in your knees.

[img]https://i.imgur.com/MKGYpjO.png[mg]
Yeah I’ve been trying to work on reducing the amount that my stance is bladed, it used to be worse. I had a feeling my elbow was a bit high. It actually feels uncomfortable to bring it further down though, I feel unnaturally bunched up. Thanks for the critique.

new mike drop episode with Ephraim Mattos is fuukin craaazy.

the story about the two 7 year old girls with pink suicide-bomb backpacks had me in a cold sweat.

and also how the guy manages to get into combat situtations as a humanitarian worker is crazy. no issues with the gov't supposedly, either.
