Day 1 - Fast all day, work out in the evening, and get all your food for the day postworkout - this would be your cutting day. Say you're on a 700 calorie deficit, so this is still a pretty big meal. You spend all night recovering (12 hours).
Day 2 - This is an off day in which you eat your bulking calories all day, say 400 surplus. This would allow your muscles to recover all day (12 hours) and well into the night (12 hours).
You get a total of 36 hours of recovery and on the cutting day you lose fat.
Would it work?
Would this work any differently than eating at maintenance?
Just imagine a fatter version of my avi, that's where I am now. Just need to lose 8-10lbs of the fat to get to my avi. I've been spinning wheels on a traditional cut and PSMF so thought about doing a slow recomp this way.

Down just a couple legit pounds (not water, fat) since December 31st, by design. I'm taking this journey long and slow in hopes to preserve as much muscle as possible. Will be weighing in Sunday night and I'm hoping I haven't lost too much too fast. Only weighing about 175 right now, don't want to dip too far into the 160s after this is all said and done. I'm thinking a 10 lb loss will have things looking real good, but we'll see brahs. We're all gonna make it!

Down 10 pounds in 2 weeks with no loss of strenght. Expecting another 2 weeks of fast weight loss like this and after that, the grinding will truly begin. Brb watching every calorie
Btw IF is the GOAT

Was 177 lbs last time I weighed in at the gym. Heaviest was 182.

I've lost probably another 2-3 lbs because been sick for some reason. Still loading creatine though for the extra water weight/size. Overall though, not bad- thought I would gain so much fat from not lifting.

Thanks Muzzlr you could say I've been lifting hard in 2019

This is my 5th week, went from 97 kgs to 90 kgs. Probably around 15% bf now, abs already out and chest, arms and shoulders looking incredibly lean. Lower back and midsection as always needs more time.
Im blowing my mind srs, ive never had such a succesful cut before and ive done a few. Last year was a great one and i think im beating myself from 2019 at this very same date for 2 or 3 bf% percentage.
Best of it is that im not suffering with the diet srs. IF has been life changing for me.

IN!!!
Seems like a yearly thing with me. Work my ass off for Summer then stop lifting for 5 to 6 months.
Its weird. It's like if I dont have a clear goal (like getting lean) then it's hard for me to stay consistent. I know that's stupid because after Summer is the best time to actually build muscle so the following years cut will be better. I just have to tell myself that.
Anyway, took off lifting from August to late January. Went from 165 to 194 again. Been tracking calories and back down to 182 this morning.
Lifts were hilarious when I got back into it. Bench was at 135 x 5, DL 275 x 1, OHP 95 x 5, Squat 135 x 5
This last week got those up to 170 x 3 for bench, 315 for 5 sets of 1 on DL, OHP 115 x 5 x 2 sets, Squat 205 x 3 (kinda easy). So strength is coming back slowly but surely even in the deficit. Gotta love muscle memory brahs!!!
Will rep as many as possible. This crew had always kept me motivated.

Quick update 173 now. total weight lost is at 16. I am getting to the point where a single lb seems to make a difference in definition and vascularity, my face is getting much more defined. I suspect I will have to go to about 160 or so for defined unflexed abs, so hoping to hit that before the end of may and then lean bulk through the summer, because i love cheeseburgers and i refuse to be ignoring them during cookout season.

[img]https://i.imgur.com/gxrpLev.jpg?1[mg]
I have no idea didnt weigh myself since then. Only way on occasions, I dont own one myself.
Im not as lean as in the old pic and the lighting is worse but I did gain size. Wouldnt be more than 1-2 lb of lean mass tho. That comparison pic makes it look the other way aorund lol.

People think you've gotten bigger since the muscle separations appear more distinct.
Lose fat look bigger. Win Win!
