It's extremely risky and stupid for you to go.
Any vacation you think you'll be enjoying will be offset by the stress and risk of infection.
If you are infected, it's like a worse pneumonia. You will likely have issues returning to the United States when your vacation is over as travel restrictions continue to be expanded.
You'd be much better off skipping the trip and taking the loss on your plane tickets. Consider it an investment in your health.

I've waited too many months for this. My fiance lives there and says everything is normal.

Well, Italy is pretty much fuk'd....
One of the guys i had a meeting with last week was saying that his brother has just come back from italy skiing & has been put into a 14 day isolation period.....
I'm flying out to Bankso, Bulgaria weekend for a week snowboarding too - But in reality, 1% mortality rate SO FAR..
ALSO - Our company has researched 'Coronavirus' & have found that hand sanitiser 99.9% doesn't kill it... It basically just makes it easier to spread.
I think seeing how resistant this strain is to everything, it seems to becoming pretty scary...

Not trying to scare you but even as somebody who travels aggressively and is traveling right now, I would not do this. At a bare minimum, like I said, make sure your health and travel insurance is buttoned up tight in case you have unexpected expenses due to being stranded somewhere due to transportation shutdowns or forced to go to the a hospital.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

No offense to your fiance but her opinion is useless. She has no idea how much the virus has spread.
There are too many people getting infected now that didn't show symptoms for days. Your risk for infection is just way higher by traveling to Italy.
As for her thinking that its business as usual... wellhttps://www.reddit.com/r/Coronavirus..._can_enter_or/

In b4 OP gets stuck in Italy due to flight route cancellations.
Typically I’m not the one to stress about something like this, but so many airlines have been cancelling flights and Europe has been getting more cases - I wouldn’t book a trip there now. Would be a tough call if I had booked the trip months ago though.. get a refund?

Check your confirmation email you got for your ticket. It may have insurance info. If not, call your airline and ask if they partner with an insurance carrier.

It's just a real fuk'n inconvenience - I flew like 3 weeks ago? - Airports are full of people wearing face masks, Gloves all sorts.
I heard US of A is charging it's own people $3500 to be tested.... I've also heard they've refused to use the WHO recommended testing.

I know some people have a gut reaction of "but 'murica", but the truth is that most foreign capitals and major commercial hubs can deliver as good or better medical care with an English-speaking doctor to an American with financial means than the general hospital in their hometown, and the odds of OP being able to return to his familiar hospital if he's sick enough for an emergency medevac flight are literally zero. He'll get directed to wherever the Feds are keeping people detained at the border by then. I'm in South America right now and I can tell you that if, for any reason, it comes out that I'm going to be isolated at the border, I'm staying here until it's over. If I'm going to die, I'll die warm.
He'll also be on the hook for the cost of any non-emergency repatriation flights if healthy Americans are invited to evacuate Italy by the Department of State, and should maybe ask his travel insurance if they'll honor that claim.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.
