We have multiple through the world's busiest airport this month. Wife for work and two with kid. Nobody in my family agrees when I say we should plan on not doing that. Gotta see grandma as planned. Yeah I want to fly through Atlanta and Chicago with kid that touches everything.

Work is preparing for the ability of our employees to work from home if possible.

We got an email asking about whether we have consistent wifi, etc, ability to support monitors, etc

6 months ago I ordered a 14.5" 9mm barrel from Rosco on an industry deal so I could shoot PCC matches.

After 6 months waiting on a barrel they said would be 6 weeks I said **** it and ordered a JP Enterprises 14.5" 9mm bbl. It arrives at work today, and I've got my upper, rail, muzzle device, and tools and I'm going to put it together to drop off at my lgs for a pin and weld.

Everything is going fine until the muzzle device won't thread on. WTF?

Go online and JP Enterprises uses 1/2-36 instead of the 1/2-28 Rosco uses.

Who makes a 9mm muzzle device that's 1/2-36, doesn't look like AIDS and is over 2" long? JP Enterprises, the company that literally just shipped me a barrel on an industry deal.

Didn't want to call them to ask for the comp on a deal so I just bought it off their website.

I figure in the next couple weeks pretty much any events with large congregations of people will be cancelled for at least 2 months or so.
You'd have to be a ****ing idiot IMO to go near an airport for unnecessary travel, especially one as busy as Atlanta.
How can we expect to keep this contained with basic things like washing hands if people aren't even intelligent enough to temporarily stop flying, etc?
This virus will be across the country in no time if it isn't already at the rate we're going.

My main question that no one seems to be talking about is will this virus be something we now have to deal with year after year like the seasonal influenza?

I guess just hope that it's however bad it is, where it is, because their sanitation and hygiene are complete sht and that it continues to mostly be a serious threat 'only' to the rather old and immunocompromised

picking up a gen 4 glock 17 tomorrow, will purchase two stripped aero M5 lowers and 2000 rounds of 9mm too.

yes we will. but the thing that so many people seem to misunderstand is that the media is hyping this up way worse than it actually is. i caught it twice and recovered. youl probably get it eventually too, and youl be fine.

Anyhoo. I’ve been largely absent from this thread lately. **** has gotten real and I’ve been busy AF. Dad went into the ER Monday afternoon and he passed away Wednesday night. He was 78. I’m kinda ****ed up about it right now. Funeral is Monday.

Ty men...he’s been on borrowed time for a couple of years now. It ****ing sucks and I’m hurting right now, but I’m ok. The bullet he took in Viet Nam finally got him. He was shot in the lower abdomen and there was a lot of scar tissue. The cleaned 🧹 t up a couple of years ago but the arteries weren’t getting a lot of blood in there. His lower intestine was dead...the surgeon couldn’t salvage enough to even get him on a colostomy bag.

chances are as long as youre not right on the verge of death from other causes youl survive that corona virus.

ill be honest though, the first time i caught it i felt like sh_t. it literally hurt like i got beat down or something, and the cough lasted for weeks. but itl be ok. really no choice but to suck it up and move forward.

You have no idea. I’m at my mom’s several times a day. I’m going tomorrow row to install security cameras and a ring doorbell. The woman isn’t eating, I’ve been picking her up and taking her to eat so I can put my mind at ease. She keeps forgetting to put the garage door down, which is something I was on both of them leading up to dad passing.

Damn, PapaB . . . I'm so sorry to hear that. I know the feeling all too well with dad's passing in the last year or so. Only thing that took a bit of the sting out was that he was so far gone by then, it was almost more relief for him than it was grief for us. Let me know if there's anything you need.

have you thought about getting her a care taker? maybe someone part time that can check in on her and make sure shes getting food down and keeping the garage door shut. thats actually really concerning because of the security risk
