No panic brah here but I think anyone in denial that this will not spread and cause supply chain issues for at least some period of time is a fool.
Quarantines will likely happen. Whether sick or not, people will be told to stay home. When that happens nationwide, there will be temporary shortages of goods.
I 100% hope I'm totally wrong. But I don't think I am.

I think any issues it causes will be self imposed. Why dont we lock the fukking country down for flu season too? Seems to kill more people...huehuehuehue.

In all seriousness i'd like to see what the rates are in countries with better healthcare (like here). It is literally SARS 2.0.

honestly i could see the quarantines causing shortages of goods, but going to that extreme to try and contain it seems completely unnecessary. its just another type of flu, which we have been dealing with for a long time.

Of course it's going to cause supply chain issues. **** is sitting in China. I'm not too overly concerned but I suspect I'll have it shortly because of the wife being a physician she tends to bring illness home to me like ****ing strays...

Nice. Youre on the right track. Get the debt taken care of first then start in. Even a little bit. I basically listen to Jim Cramer's show from the day before on the way to work. He's got a lot of good basic info and is very helpful. And entertaining. I've basically beaten the pants off the S&P 500 with my investments thanks to him.

awesome dude, thats what its all about, use your money to make more money!

i had an idea awhile ago to invest in tobacco companies because they pay a high dividend return plus federal legalization of marijuana would likely result in major profits too.

The goal is to use the stock market to help get to the point of a rental property/more real estate. That's where the money is. Ill take a couple extra hundo a month per property than "worrying" about stocks. The revenue stream is much more consistent.

The pot market isnt quite there yet, but be weary of higher dividend (i'd say 4ish and up). Usually that's a sign that things in the company have gotten weak (i.e. price in the stock has dropped) and the dividend could get slashed.

i could see that man. thats actually my goal now, save up enough for a bigger nicer house and rent out the one im living in now. its going to take awhile though because houses in my area are expensive, and upgrading from my current house would be very expensive.

Typically yes. For the most part pens that look good write like **** in a ballpoint so I'd not want to use them. You can buy cheap pens that write well but i just feel like they look out of place when you're using a powergel pen in a suit. Years ago, I ended up getting a Pilot Custom 92 demonstator with some Iroshizuk kon-peki ink. Think i got some Claire Fontaine or Rhodia paper too. Now i write a lot more by hand and had the fountain pen bug for a while. Just use a Sailor 1911 or a Pilot Decimo since it's retractable

Get a Pilot with a 14k nib and thank me later. Amazing how much difference a good pen and paper can make. Highly recommend Clairefontaine paper if you get a chance. white as opposed to the off color Rhodia

I guess, except it has a considerably higher mortality rate than the flu. At least in other countries it's in.

14k was the next venture. Is the difference basically similar to going from a roller ball to a fountain? lol

I try this place for most of my stuff since it's pseudo local down in VA.

Nevermind imported goods. Even things produced here in country will have shortages in distribution to at least some extent.

Went to the local grocer today. Other than hand sanitizer they had full stock of everything and were maybe even slower than usual. Even the toilet paper/paper towel aisle was completely full and faced. Hormel canned chicken and some name brand refried beans were BOGO-Free too.

do you have a number of properties in mind or going to see what you can manage? being a landlord sounds like a headache to me, but it can definitely pay off well if you're cut out for it.

probably. halfway through the 1st episode and I'm entertained. Al Pacino does things to me, emotionally.

edit: Also saw Man in the High Castle season 4 is out. I got distracted from season 2 and never picked it back up. Anyone think it's worth it to give it another shot or leave it be?
