My prediction: the amount of cases has been almost linear in time, but it is shifting now to an exponential rate, so we will have 3 to 400 thousand cases next month.
Death rate amongst 80+ year olds is 15 percent, so one out of 6 dies. For another large percentage in this age group, the illness is severe but no death.
The virus will have several outbreaks in the course of the next 5 years. They will be less and less severe.

me too bro. i'm worried that it will be 2008/2009 recession all over again. when that happened, the DoD had to take some major cuts, BRAC, and RIF. same will happen if it keeps getting bad

That was really more to do with Obama than the crash. And we are already under manned on paper. So not a high likelihood of getting RIFd. BRAC was always going to happen.

I'm more worried if they furlough. Telework is gonna be the sht tho.

The biggest effects were temporary. Then things change a bit and new things and parts of the economy open up.

People already losing their chit two weeks ago when the ill started showing in WA, I'm in SC and we were and still are low in water/toilet paper/cleaning supplies, they already implemented in Sams and Walmart a 2 case limit for water, once the illness actually starts spreading, cause people don't know how to follow quarantine procedures, people are gonna be fukkin stupid about it, BRB is 2020 we don't have flying cars but we have to remind people how to wash their hand and how to sneeze/cough into their elbow.
