I remember a few years ago, a series on Natgeo or something about preppers , and their prep. Some prepping for this very reason, a super-bug. People made fun of them online. I bet those preppers are feeling pretty damn good about now!

I’m at the doctors office for a appointment. Old people everywhere here. I kind of feel bad. It’s like I see dead people every where, they just don’t know it yet.

Local grocery store still has TP. Limit 2 packages per. I bought one little pack of 6 rolls and even still everybody noticed and commented. Cashier said they had been [very] abnormally busy all day. Only empty spots were dedicated surface disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer. Bottled water and TP levels were maybe 40% occupied/60% empty for shelf space

What we did was pretty chill. The guy that sets us up with the turkey hunting does pepper farming and they have big canals that run around their field for irrigation and the gators like to hang out in them. He's had his eye on this gator for a while saying it needed to go. Once they get over 7-8' they become a bit of a liability with everyone working the fields. So he called the gator man and he had just got his permits in. He came out with all the stuff and we went to work. Not as easy as I thought it would be. We chased it for over an hour.

The guy does paid hunts where he finds the size that somebody wants and sets it up but I have no idea how to go about getting in with all that.

Stores are a phukking mess. Went to Costco for some things, primarily dog food. We use the Kirkland Chicken & Rice food mixed with a different TOTW brand--more of the TOTW than Kirkland--and I had run out of the Kirkland. I thought I had some left, but was wrong and I hadn't even considered dog food getting hoarded. Makes sense. But Costco was completely out of the kind I use and had very little of anything else. I got a bag of the closest thing just in case. But the parking lot was a disaster, the lines were amazingy deep and people were buying everything they could get their hands on. Asked a stocker about he dog food because there are a couple more Costco's close together and he said they were all pretty much out.

Stopped by the farm/feed store on the way home where I buy the other TOTW food. They had a bunch of it, so I bought 4 huge bags. I asked the guy there if he might know what they had that would be close to Kirkland and he said Kirkland was made by Diamond and they had a Diamond Chicken & Rice in a giant bag, so I grabbed that.

Then stopped at Kroger for some other things and it was as bad as Costco. Plus they were short on checkers, so the regular lines were long and the self-checkout wasn't much better. Took forever to get out. All in all, a trip that should have taken 90 mins max took almost 3 hours.

I have 125 lbs of [unopened bags] dog food [doge x2] and this makes me think I should buy more lol

But I'm doing good, only 6 rolls of TP purchased today and one case of water. Bought more Monster energy drinks than rolls of TP. #winning

Just got back from Wal Mart in Hanford...



But plenty of food and water still, some canned goods missing but nothing extreme. People are dumb, what sht will you have to wipe when you run out of food.

I was smart, I bought bullets. Now I can just go take their TP.

That actually sounds really fun! Not like fish in a barrel. Legit hunting it. Any fan boat or w/e it’s called to maneuver the canal? Was on one for a gator “field trip” many years ago when I was young. Was a blast

It's annoying as fuk. I legitimately need to get more of the disinfecting wipes, but at the same time don't want to be lumped in with the retards that are panic buying everything they see. A Walmart by me was out of every single hand sanitizer. The travel section... everything full besides one bin... the tiny hand sanitizers.

Yeah . . . might be time to scope some out. You don't want to run out and switching dog food, especially in large amounts and quickly can lead to, umm, a mess.

That ranch supply store (Murdochs--actually a really cool store) had pretty much their normal supply of dog food and we do a 3:1 mix with the "3" part being TOTW from Murdochs. So I don't want to risk being short on that. Worst case, he could eat 100% of that and it should be fine since he's used to it. Can get iffy adding a new food in--have to do it over time. Hopefully this Diamond stuff is the same as the Kirkland or close to it.

I'll probably go get more, and more cat food (lower on that, respectively) tonight. I do a mix of Fromm (grain inclusive) and Orijen, rotating through different Fromm 4 Star for variety while keeping Orijen original. Probably have enough that I could get whatever was available before getting terribly low and do a mix of new with current. Definitely don't want to switch abruptly. At most, switch out about 50% to new for a few days of transition

Like, there is a reason there is a very strong correlation and group-crossover or whatever between prepping and owning firearms. People smart enough to prepare with essential supplies areusuallysmart enough to understand most others don't prepare and will feel they are entitled to their share of what you spent your time and money on while they were throwing disposable income at other **** instead

That's kind of my theory on why Murdochs wasn't picked clean and wasn't swarmed with people (any moreso than normal). Figure the farm folk are a little more into advanced planning and prepping. They're already stocked.
