Let's play a game, shall we?

Let's go look at SGAmmo's website, and see if this is true, or, fake news:

And y’all worried about buying in to the market right now need to man up. Play it long. A year from now I’ll be laughing about buying up stock on 20-30% discounts.
I'm doing some DCA'ing and I have my 401k always buying. I'm just not comfortable going in heavy on anything right now. Too crazy and I think there's more bad to come with the virus when numbers invariably spike.

At some point, it's going to take off though.

Stocking up on toilet paper is retarded. We had a Costco delivery at work yesterday and the driver showed me pics of dozens of their Semi trucks lined up and he said every single one was filled with toilet paper. Idiots

Went grocery shopping yesterday after Dr. visit. Store was completely stocked except for TP, Hand sanitizes, wipes, and disinfectant sprays. Foods, meats, produce... everything was still there.

Got me thinking about little ones... went down the baby isle... fully stocked with diapers and formula. Huh. *shrugs* If I had a baby, had to stay home for who knows how long, I would clear out this isle.

I purchased extra pasta, canned goods, T-bones were $4.77/lb. (WOOT!). Lots of non-perishable stuffs. Not only to have in the pantry, but for the week long camping trip coming up.

Looked at other carts, and the only person who looked like they were stocking, was a guy who bought 2 whole cases of instant ramen soup, and pastas, and about 6 jars of pasta sauce. I dunno... typical college student cart from what I used to eat back in the day.

I may go back and stock up on canned veggies.

Luckily, was prepping for summer a few weeks ago. Filled my large propane tanks, charcoal, and smaller disposable propane tanks. First aid kits are fully stocked, as well as OTC meds and stuff.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
Thank you, LORD, my God.

Thoughts on 223 as a defensive round in a crisis situation? I only ever use it at the range but I've got a mini-14 I'm thinking about keeping some ammo on hand for.

I've already got plenty of 12 gauge, 9mm and loads of .22lr laid in.

First stop was walgreens, they had about 20 packs of TP left. Bought one 24 pack, which is our normal restock, and left.

Fortunately, sitting on just over 50 rolls in the house... still now wishing I had more.

Normally, when I camp, I just carry my sidearm, and 2 mags. Now I'm thinking if I may have to fight the horde to get back home. Going to carry all my sidearm mags, but now I'm thinking about bringing my AR 16" with powered optic, and 7 mags. I'd ask if I'm being paranoid, but I think I'd know the answer here. Wife thinks I'm crazy to bring it.

I just have this image burned into my head:

You’re a dbag just to be a dbag and it gets old.

SG ammo has 147g and defensive ammo left for 9mm. Almost all the 223/556 is gone minus expensive chit.

My local Cabelas was almost empty of anything common. There’s gun industry guys reporting of ammo panic buying right now.

But Farley is always right and can never be wrong so take his word as gospel always.

We've got like 40 rolls or something left. We probably would have just bought another pack at Costco whenever we went next. I'll probably look for some at the grocery store later today just in case. So dumb that TP is the item that runs out.

Mini 14? Hannibal is that you?

Yes .223 is an excellent intermediate distance round. I'd keep some around

223 is great.

People badmouth mini14s and say you should have bought an AR but they are fine for defense. Rooftop Koreans did work with them and a bunch of FBI agents got their asses handed to them by a vet with a mini14 and a bad attitude.

Although Nashville, Atlanta, and Tampa seemed more tame than usual coming back Wednesday. I didn't even think about it being because there are less people travelling/working.

Talking to one of the ultra libs I work with on a video conf. She's convinced Trump is declaring a national state of emergency so he can postpone the election.

Couldn't have anything to do with freeing up added federal funds and resources for some common cold that's circulating.

Of course that was also against agents mostly armed with .38 revolvers if I remember right. Just like most guns, if you test yours out and prove it'll work in varying conditions, it will probably be fine, but that's still not to say there aren't options that would more so minimize potential issues.

CO gov orders cancellation of all events >250 prople . . . unless a space of 6 ft between attendees can be guaranteed. WTF. Like a sneeze or cough has a force field that stops it at 6 ft. And Coronavirus stays alive in the air and on surfaces for hours.

https://www.denverpost.com/2020/03/1...navirus-polis/

With the COVID-19 respiratory disease now spreading in the Denver area, Gov. Jared Polis ordered the cancellation of public gatherings in Colorado with more than 250 people — unless those events can guarantee six feet of separation between attendees.

“I know that can be devastating,” Polis said of his decision to shut down large events in Colorado. “But we are in the middle of one of the greatest public health disasters of our lifetime.”

At a news conference Friday, Polis announced there are now 72 positive cases of coronavirus in Colorado, a figure that includes eight people who are hospitalized and three who are in critical condition.

“It is just a matter of time until we do have our first fatality here in Colorado,” the governor said.
