I have not seen any US or state bills passed for my state yet having ANY companies not charge full bills. As of right now my electric company said they still are charging full price they will just not disconnect, phone bill for Verizon is still full price and due on time, Rent for apartment complex is due on time or late fees will be given out. I have yet to see a single break for bills, all thats being talked about is giving US people $1,000.

the only talk I have read from official news sources is possibly 75k-100k.

I still don't quite understand how this makes much sense though because even people in that bracket and above have monthly obligations to pay for outside of profits and will lose their jobs/business and need to pay mortgage, car payments, other bills, etc... and not all of them have savings

And just like that, Trump supporters are all in favor of socialism. In all seriousness, it's gonna be hard to determine a salary cutoff for this since some person who makes six figures could be unemployed at this point and truly need it to stay afloat in the short term.

Not everybody is getting $1k, only those making less that $75,000. So 99% of the misc won't be getting that. Why worry about $1000 anyway?

local and state governments closing any sort of gathering over 10 people
im sure that will later be mandated to 0 people, or 5 like some countries

Loss of income and ability to pay people for minimal "at home' work and needing to think long term damage control

My job is govt adjacent and pretty secure. As long as municipal govts are still an entity and the court system hasn't completely collapsed I'll be good. My wife works in the school system so she is pretty safe right now even though they've cancelled school the legislature passed funding to make sure all state employees get paid throughout this whole thing.

Most of my close friends are all in pretty safe employment sectors so I haven't heard anything like you're describing. If you're right this is gonna make 2008 seem like a booming economy

I'm good with socialism as long as I'm one of the people benefiting. What we're seeing right now is the exact reason why everyone says it sucks, it only benefits the super rich and the poor, normal people just get screwed.
