If 540Extrait was renamed "540 Extrait Pour Femme", then I think Bal D'Afrique/Africano could definitely be "540 Extrait Pour Homme"

It's sweeter than it is woody for sure, but it's not nearly as sweet as 540Extrait BUT there's just enough wood notes in the base to make it a "masculine-sweet" scent. I want to continue to give praise to Byredo since they're the ones that created it, but the performance on Africano is better but smells nearly as good. Nearly all out of my 540Extrait, won't be replacing it soon as Africano makes a good date night frag but suitable for other situations as well.

Might have to give it a shot. I like BR, but as i've previously stated it smells identical to some cheapie a former FWB wore all the time.

Yeah I made this connection as well. It definitely does have a 540 feel to it with the sweetness. I dug out my decant/sample box as seen in the background and gave this another shot. I can see why this is so popular. It's super strong, fills a room easy, performance is bomb from only 2 sprays from the tiny sample atomizer, but it'sjust not for me.I dont know why, I usually like these strong, spicy, in-your-face type of scents but this one is just too......something.

NO RACIST whatsoever, but this comes off like a sweaty, swarmy, Middle Eastern farmers market. Maybe the incense?

If Spicebomb had a much older uncle with a sleeve of poorly done homemade tattoos, a mullet, and drove a 1979 rusted out Camaro this would be Hafez 84.

Looking for a summer scent. Any recommendations? I’m cool with a blind buy and I’ve smelled a ton so I remember what I Enjoy atleast a little. I’m trying to stay around 100$, but I’m cool going more niche if it’s worth it as fragrancenet does the afterpay stuff so I wouldn’t have to drop 3-4 hundo up front.
