Ive had a weak ass sore throat since about march 6 i think and nothing else.
then, the past week, especially on mon,tuesday, i noticed this chest discomfort and hard to catch breath.
Last night, was playing overwatch and head felt really hot and vision blurring a bit and light headed.
palms sweating a bit. Almost decided to go to emergency room right then..
but didnt. Felt really exhausted suddenly after that and went to sleep earlier than usual.
Tonight, I felt fine for the start of the night but went to emergency to see if I can get to the bottom of it.
They pretty much just referred me to another hospital in the morning to get tested. so gonna do that.

Now I think I feel a fever coming on suddenly.
Having a lemon ginger tea with honey and waiting till hospital opens at 9 to go get tested.
im mainly worried about missing work but supposedly you can get 2k a month from the ontario government for up to 4 months.
I just dont want to lose any money in the meantime. my work was saying to go to a doctor but they cant really do anything unless your lungs are filling up or need oxygen etc

Had a sore throat for days and now I have chills and shortness of breath. IDK if that's just my being paranoid giving me anxiety though. It's hard to tell. I haven't been to the doctor in years. IDK who I would even call. Do I just go to urgent care if it gets worse??

Virologist here. It is still not clear why most healthy young individuals have only mild or even no symptoms and other get critically sick and have to be ventilated. The IL6 he's talking about is a cytokine, which is a chemical of your immune system to promote inflammation to combat the virus. However, if too much is released (cytokine storm) it is harmfull and further destroys the lung tissue (along with the virus replicating in your lung cells). It can be genetic e.g. some people are not genetically prone that their immune cells react with this cytokine storm but it can also be that in some degree of the human population there's a receptor variant or co-receptor missing/different in the lung tissue or upper respiratory tract that makes infection/spreading in the body hard for the virus and thus some people only develope mild or no symptoms. How ya feeling today, OP? I've been checking in on this thread to get updates on your condition.

Besides going to my local grocery store once every 10 days or so, I'm staying on my property. I really don't want to catch this thing. I'm right in the middle of a cut and it would really throw a wrench in that + I don't want to give it to my woman because, when she gets sick, the symptoms are bad.

Hopefully things will look up soon!

I feel like I could have had this thing. I had a cough and fatigue that wouldn't go away. I also had extremely red eyes that apparently is a possible symptom? I have no idea. I hope you get better OP regardless.

I had fatigue and the back of my eyes and head were killing me for a few days, like someone hit the back of my head with a hammer. Also some stomach problems etc

Cold symptoms or have I already had it?

Dunno about the ventilator stuff but I've read a lot of stories where a fever and extreme fatigue set in within minutes out of the blue

I have run a 20 miler training and you are running for at a minimum 3 hours up to 4 or 5ish, so his lung capacity had to be decent beforehand. Very sorry to hear this.

Im at the testing place and they sent others home to isolate without testing because their symptoms weren’t serious or no high temp. but because my temp was high, they swabbed me.

now waiting to see whats next

This virus is really weird. Seems very believable that there are multiple strains circulating due to the variety of symptoms presenting from the original (high fever, dry cough) to a more recent one (mainly digestive issues), and then reports from NYC of patients showing Covid damage on CT that weren't in the ER for the virus at all (car wreck).
Primary COVID-19 Known Symptoms

Each of these are not mutually exclusive:

- Fever

- Headache

- Dry cough

- Body aches

- Extreme fatigue (UNOFFICIAL)

- Bluish lips or face

- Trouble breathing

- Shortness of breath

- Pain and pressure in the chest

- Loss or diminished smell and taste (UNOFFICIAL)

- New confusion or inability to arouse

- Conjunctivitis - Redness of the upper and lower eyelids (UNOFFICIAL)

- Gastrointestinal Upset - Commonly included symptoms are: Constipation, Diarrhea, Heartburn, Nausea, Stomach Pain and Vomiting (UNOFFICIAL)
This thread is the second place I have read of a fit healthy 30s age person who has landed in ICU on a vent with no underlying conditions.

No idea of accuracy, but I've also seen multiple places accounts of people who become symptomatic and then 4 or 5 days later are hospitalized and then 4 or 5 days later are dead.

Seems to be one of the biggest evolutionary dice rolls for humanity in a very long time.

I remember 6 years ago I had the worst flu I've ever had in my life. I was so pissed because I was incredibly sick the day my nephew was born. I went to the hospital to be with my family but I kept my distance. I remember driving home and when I got inside the house my body was so achy and uncontrollable to the point where I was running into walls just to get in my room and go to bed. I've also had a gnarly sinus infection where I couldn't stop coughing and I ended up sleeping on my couch in the sitting position because I couldn't sleep laying down. I think the corona is the real deal and should be avoided at all costs but I think a lot of us forget how sick we've been at some points in our lives but we got through it.
