This NY doctor speaks out about COVID-19. To sum it up, he said that the sickness going around is not coronavirus and has nothing to do with pneumonia. He said the symptoms are basically what a patient who is at an extremely high altitude and struggling to breathe would experience.

Both my parents tested positive. My dad has mild symptoms. My mom is a lot sicker. I speak to them for hours everyday on the phone. My mom is an immigrant living in the U.S. for decades now but she is not that educated from school, even my mom told me that it doesn't feel like a flu. She said her symptoms are extremely weird and random. For example, today she said she woke up with an extreme constant cough and cold was coming out. Fast forward a couple hours, she has no cough and no cold at all; as if she is not sick at all or never been sick. Then previous days, she had body aches, fatigue, head aches, etc.

My dad said he thinks he knows exactly when he contracted the sickness. He was at work in public, they were cleaning up on oil spill in the middle of the city, and he said all of a sudden he felt an abrupt hit to his chest. Then the next day he got sick.

My sister lives in the same house as my mom and dad and she tested negative. If COVID-19 was what they say it is, then she would have tested positive. You DO NOT need hand sanitizer and all that crap. You need a mask when going outside.

I told my parents about the 5G conspiracies and they believe that more than a flu outbreak that they're showing on the news. Keep in mind, my parents are the type of people who watch CNN, don't support Trump, etc. They are everything you see on the media. Yet here at this moment, on the phone, they're saying everything on the news about this sickness is a lie.

5G is the cause of this chit. The frequencies from 5G towers absorbs all the oxygen from the air and causes the altitude sickness.

The doctor, if he is a doctor, had a valid concern. He doesn’t think they are treating the correct thing. That I can understand. You trying to flip it as the cause being 5g is reaching, and makes you look retarded.

It's a complex topic beyond what I can explain here. He's not experienced with high-altitude sickness because the patients he gets at Maimonides (where he works as a critical care doctor) are not extreme mountain climbers. But he does understand the physiology even if it's from textbook learning.

To make a long story short: the pulmonology/critical care big question, which has been hinted at when we've looked at what's been happening in China and Italy, is that COVID-19 doesn't seem to present like typical acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The lungs are surprisingly compliant whereas in typical ARDS, the lungs are pretty stiff. Thus, he hypothesizes that we're treating the wrong disease by trying to run an ARDSnet protocol (lung protective ventilation) on a patient as if he/she has ARDS, but actually doesn't. In that respect, using the improper ventilation strategy may potentially be causing more harm to patients.

He's in no way saying that ventilation is useless; he's very explicit that they are useful. But he hypothesizes that perhaps patients behave more closely to high altitude sickness/pulmonary edema than your typical ARDS. Using the wrong ventilation strategy, one subjects a patient to unnecessary barotrauma and other side effects including decreased cardiac output and its associated downstream effects.
