These masks are high grade and are used by healthcare workers because they are exposed to many different kinds of particles in their daily work - they go through these masks like toothpicks so that we can have hospitals remained staffed throughout the year.

Literally anything that covers your mouth/nose will be sufficient for preventing covid-19 from entering your body from airborn particles. You like n95 because it has holes in it? Hey moron - did you know that cloth stiched bandanas are not perfectly solid? They have tons of tiny holes in them too so you can breath fine even if the bandana was sealed air-tight against your fat cheeks!

You are a vulture and the reason that many people are dying - and on top of that you're cheap. If you're going to kill people, at least take out your wallet.
Hey idoit DEFINITELY listen to the same morons telling us not to buy masks for months and they don't work anyway LOL.

guess what if I don't get sick because I'm wearing my n95 masks that's one less person in the hospital.

Govt is treating you all like morons and you're proving them right.

Are hospitals ordering 10 packs of masks from Amazon? The products from consumer sites are made for consumers. Nurses don't buy their own masks.

Am I missing something?
They are ordering packs of 10 masks from the same warehouse yes. I can confirm that. Any seller that has quality stock and is selling to consumers has treatment facilities buying as well.

The entire debate about masks boils down to 2 things. First, the CDC initially said the following in their posts about the coronavirus:

Second, this video which includes studies in the description on YT that you can look up and reference yourself explaining my position.

Now, those are the sources I used that hadlegitimate sciencebehind them, and to the best of my knowledge, are what I used to base my judgment on whether or not to wear masks. I included a link to a study someone posted that N95 prevented coronavirus, along with a link to the video which explains a different view point from yours and others. This seemed to cause everyone to get their panties in a serious twist, because any deviation from their way of thinking was tantamount to me telling people to go lick toilet seats.

Good lord I bet you couldn't make it three sentences into the introduction of any infectious disease paper... and you are trusting an anonymous Youtube video survey over Molecular Biology PhDs with specializations in infectious diseases.

You people can't be helped.

You've done nothing ITT besides throw unnecessary insults and copy/paste information from the CDC.

And the fact that you dismiss a youtube video because it's a cartoon tells me you aren't very bright.

Now go fuk urself troll.

This x1000. People are unbelievable. This really might be the end of our society.

The YT video has references to peer reviewed studies in the description. You can look them up yourself on pubmed and read them. This isn't something they just made up out of the blue.

That YT video says a surgical mask probably helped prevent you spreading it to other people if you were sick.

And we know asymptomatic carriers transmitting the disease are a thing.

The video does illustrate that actual N95 respirator masks are superior to surgical masks.

We have all always known that.

We have always all always known that wearing the masks is another barrier to absent mindedly touching your face

Video also says even if you aren't sick, wearing a basic mask might help, and certainly won't hurt
