As for side gigs, we can talk about that. I stand by that statement. It's an observation based on many years of seeing many different gov environments that men, especially in unionized government desk jobs, slowly have the soul stripped from their body in middle age if they don't have some sort of side occupation. Plainly obvious whether they realize it and would admit it or not.

There's a trade off -
If you want entire freedom, be prepared to give up safety, and if you want entire safety be prepared to give up freedoms.
I don't see it as a weakness when police get talked **** to and stand down when it's clear they don't need to be there, and them being there will just escalate a situation, a situation that doesn't need to come into existence.
If this were in America, the guy probably woulda got roughed up by the police, if not shot.
It takes a bigger person to acknowledge that the guy is a mad bro, and isn't in a good place in that moment. Taking any of the stuff he said personally would be a weakness within themselves.
When someone gets mad their ability to rationalise goes out the window and they act on emotion. Police did well to just leave here and not escalate it

So, if someone wrongfully calls cops saying theres a party in my house, (not danger to life etc) and the cops turn up, and I tell them theres no party cos Im social distancing and refuse to open the door- some of you honestly believe they have the right to bust my door down? Seriously?
The only reason the cops didnt arrest the guy or get aggressive was because he was recording and they knew they shouldnt have busted the door in.

Do you not think that they tried asking him through the door first? If an officer knocked on my door, I'd open it up. I wouldn't start my phone filming and get ready to hurl abuse at them, for doing a job that's pretty tough at the best of times.

Cops can be treated politely some of the time I suppose but it's in your best interest to never speak to them.
They try to say hi in a restaurant just ignore them like they aren't even there.

I'm all for the idea of a citizen protector, but chitting on law enforcement isn't the way to support that ideal. Pathetic any way you slice it. Undermine the very branch of enforcement that is meant to serve and protect you, and then cry that they do not effectively do their jobs. Chitty, childish entitled 'citizens'.

1) they were int he wrong and got called out. Cops so depend on you say ing "yes come in". It's what most immigrants do.
2) they don't have guns, so hard to act dominant. Hence why they're so beta and deal with so many assaults and inability to control crime scenes until many of then show up.

But there's a big difference between 'taking my security into my own hands' and 'regularly telling the police to fu*k themselves' or if they ask for my name on a site visit tell them 'it doesn't matter'.
And there's a big relation between telling law enforcement as a whole to fu*k themselves, and then criticizing them for being ineffective. To the Americans here, this isn't a good look:
And you parrot the same chit here. Hard to tell if you're serious but just SMH either way.

You are naive if you think cops are
A. Your friends
B. Actually solve crimes. Be a victim of any theft in the US and there will never be a resolution.

B. Well, theft is a difficult one because they usually fence the goods quickly, however a lot of them do get solved & often because of the criminal stupidity of not wearing gloves so their prints are at the scene, leaving blood at the scene off a broken window, dropping things with their DNA or even their name & address on it etc
