Yes. The Atlas and Beetle are notorious piles of indian food diarrhea, in particular. Who is buying new VW's??

Raptor is just indicative of the truck market in general, trucks have been the most popular autos sold the last few years, they’ve become insanely popular

What range rover ownership is like over 6 years:

- In the shop an average of once every 120 days
- $21k total repairs (he bought the 3rd party warranty for $4k lol)
- Average bill was $1400, most expensive was $6k (transfer case)

Jeeps are horrible vehicles. It's a very abusive and expensive love hate relationship. Their entire worth revolves around the summertime doors off, top off, 4 wheeling experience. I am one of those people that use my jeep as a jeep, but for the soccer moms driving them who never even take the doors or roof off, it's totally bizarre. Definitely wouldn't be my first choice as a daily driver if i didn't use the thing as they're supposed to be used.

I'd put the A4 over the 3-series. But idk it left a bad taste in my mouth when I went to test drive a 3-series they were trying to pass off there leatherette as a quality material...the base A4 came with leather. But that kinda just summed up the BMW, everything was an additional cost for items standard on the A4. Didn't go with either in the end.

Yeah I had one for many years. They suck. They're fun when you're actually off road or doing something outdoors, but terrible daily drivers. Huge aftermarket, but easy to spend $10k on parts without hardly trying. Wheels, tires, and lift alone is $5k+.

A rentcel coworker just bought a Jeep Renegade early this year
Couple months later he was bemoaning about how he needed to find a new place to rent for his family and their dogs
He couldn't buy because, aside from having zero savings, his credit was like 570

Have to replace the oil valve cover? Drop the subframe. Have to replace the oil pan? Drop the subframe. Half the fuking parts are $500 or less which is fine but you end up paying $1200 in fuking labor cause everything requires you to drop the MFing subframe.

Next vehicle will likely be a Cadillac ATS, or GT350
Good to know BMW has changed their subframe must go in the way of everything design philosophy from the early 00s. I had a 3 series and the things they decided to cut corners on in that car were strange. It had a plastic water pump impeller, horrific finish on all the plastic parts (the leather was very nice though) and the smell of crayons that all German cars from that era had from the trunk insulation.

Skip the ATS dude. My step mom had one of those and it sucked. Something was always wrong with it and it was constantly in for warranty work

I LOVED the BMW inline 6. Their cars are so fun but after the 1990s they became so unreliable. I had an 09 and it was such a money pit... Moved onto Lexus for dat dere reliability and less headaches and NEVER looked back. Good luck moving on m8, but ya no car payments is nice

Almost certain they blow because they have been ragged to hell as only douchebags own them. I’ve never heard of them being unreliable per se, the build quality is good afaik

Could be from bros bagging, who would buy one and not have fun? My experience is just anecdotal, 3 guys 2 blown motors and 1 blown turbo. Cant say two of them were mechanically inclined or knew much about turbos..

I cross shopped them but didnt find the reliability/interior/horse power worth it. I already own a cbr 600 for when I wanna fly and just wanted something reliable..

the poverty Karen 3 series models (the 330 and the absolute joke of the 320) sure. But both that and the a4 are overpriced for what you get.

the m340i absolutely chits on the new S4 with it's poverty engine, audi completely messed up this generation since the old supercharger is actually a better engine with way more potential

I remember when those Raptors first came out, all the guys dropped $50K+ on them, drove them around the desert, and the frames all bent and Ford wouldn't do anything about it.
