If you consider yourself more intelligent than the average person GTFIH (srs)

Just a question for miscers who think they are a few points shy of genius level IQ lol.

Can you do math on your head? For example, can you multiply in your head 1550 x 300 and get it right in less than 30 seconds? Can you do it at all?

Can you do percentages in your head? As in, 55% of 135,000. Well?

Just wondering what you guys consider to be an "intelligent" person.

All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

MSc Physics from world class university. And I'm very very good at maths and always have been, those qus in your OP take me a few seconds. No brag, definitely not a genius and mental math is not exactly a great measure of intelligence either, but being smarter than the average is not all that hard brah.

That alone makes you smarter than the average person srs.

I will admit I geek'd out and spent twice as much as I could have ever needed on a power cage, Rogue gear isn't cheap.

Even my "beater" bar is rated 205k psi tensile, just lol

As for intelligence, my understanding is that it's more of one's ability to learn information presented rather than how much one already knows.

I'm not willing to claim that I think I'm more intelligent than anybody.

Certainly not at math.

But I'll answer the question:

The 1550 x300 is fairly easy because I'd just add two zeroes to 1550 and then add that up three times.

Now if it was 1557 x 327, then I couldn't do it in my head.

Percentages of relatively round numbers like .55 of 135,000, yes I can do that. But again, if it were 137,284, no I couldn't do that.

takes like 10 seconds

but I don't consider it intelligence to be able to do that
Thats a smart way of solving it but you could do it in less steps.

And yeah of course intelligence is a broad subject, its definitely more than just being "good at math", id say emotional intelligence rules above all

I’m not really intelligent, definitely not more than the average person, so in order to not feel the guilt of breaking the prerequisite condition set in the thread title, I hacked my way into the reply section just to admit that

Not sure why are you so mad brah lol, never in my post did i claim that intelligence was entirely and absolutely only related to solving math problems in your head.

Chill man, breath, take your time and you may get the ones in OP right srs.

Well, what i mean is that IMO is more important to be emotionally intelligent than any of the other types of intelligence, at least for me. That depends on everyone's goals and what makes them happy.

300*1550 is stupidly easy since the 0's on the end don't change the calculation at all.

It's basically doing 3*155 which is 465. Then multiply by 1000 (due to the 3 0's you took off). **** literally takes a second

Guarantee you that a lot of people would have trouble with that. Careful with throwing words like "stupidly" easy around cause some people may feel bad.

What about the percentage one?

I hope everyone copes for the time being, eats enough food, and trusts in muscle strength memory.

Wait until prices drop back down to cheap, then set up a home gym after realizing how important they really are for dedicated hobbyists.

$1k can get you everything with more weight plates than one could ever use, even $200 barbells are insanely good these days.

Just get a cage for safety/upgrade reasons. They're the fuking goat.
