There’s dozens of laws where you could say they allow for X, Y, Z without being completely wrong, same as this, but it is still wrong none the less.
We recently got a new law regarding payed holidays, and people have been talking A LOT about that, the media included... it’s a way bigger deal in the media than this, and yet the media is unable to explain that law. The media is also propping up laws regarding rape and consent, as if it will be better, lead to more convictions etc., even though 95% of the legal community is against it. In other words, the media - as usual - don’t know what they’re talking about.
Besides, even then, there’s a difference between a law saying “corona vaccine is mandatory” and a law that supposedly might allow the authorities to force vaccinate.
The law was set forth to allow local authorities to act quickly at the start of the virus when almost nothing was known, and a new Italy situation was the scenario we were trying to avoid. It was to allow local authorities without pre-authorisation to force infected people into quarantine, if they didn’t do it themselves. As Danish minister said something like this: if for instance an infected person tells the doctors “no, I won’t stay home” and he then goes around purposely coughing on people, then that person could be forvefully quarantine.
The reason the law was so broadly worded was to ensure that unforseen events could be dealt with quickly by local authorities - like I said, it was hard to predict how things would go, and the worst was feared given the situation in Italy. This is also the reason the law was expedited in parliament. Vaccination has nothing to do with this law.
The law was expedited and put in work the 3rd of March, and has been used a total of ZERO times since then.
I will take a permanent ban bet with anyone regarding this. I know it’ll be a long bet, but if anyone wants to take the opposite position I’m all for it. The corona vaccine will absolutely not be mandatory in Denmark.
