M2A1 size, went from 1200 to 1650. had to drop a few times, add some, drop a few times, add some... to get them packed in. 1600 would be easy but wanted to get all my Fed Black Pack in the same can lol. #worthit

Except I'd have to find a can that has the same kind of ammo I have in boxes still to open the boxes and add to the can to top it off. hmm

I moved away from loose in cans (kind of went through that as a phase) when I realized I don't carry full cans of ammo to the range and I like to know how much I shot and how much I have left so grabbing however much I load into mags or shoot or throw into a smaller container for the range leaves me wondering...how much did I shoot today? How many more rounds on that gun?

So I went back to boxes.

Sometimes I stack the boxes in the cans...if you get the right boxes matched to the right cans it can be a pretty good fit. The European size 50 round boxes of 9mm for example can fit a lot of ammo into a .50 can

These were loose packed in awkward sized boxes and was legit pissing me off. Decided to go loose in a can with desiccant, and keep it as a last resort stash. Probably rotate it out 10 years from now. Have plenty of other ammo I can rotate though, especially since I don't have anywhere nearby to shoot rifle currently :/

I missed the fridge discussion, but had a question - new place i moved into has an LG french door fridge. the freezer runs fine and keeps things frozen, and the ice maker in the door is great, but the fridge, even at the lowest temp setting, still isnt that cold.

cold enough to keep things from going bad, but not cold enough to think it was just taken out of the fridge.

Any ideas?

Yea my wife’s family has a fully gated property. One night we were waiting for an Uber and I went outside the gate and was standing on the sidewalk and they were like yea you don’t want to do that get back inside the gate.

Generator guys - says to run this thing at different levels of load. Is there a tried and true process for establishing what appliances to run? Just gotta read a bunch of specs? Seems dumb to run a circular saw or microwave nonstop for an hour.

No really tried and true. Just run a single appliance like a fridge for a bit, then add another one, and another.

Or if you have a window AC unit you can have the gen run for a while that works too

Check/clean the coils. They get covered in dust and it reduces the cooling capability.

There isn't a tried and true agreement on even needing to do that break in. But, it certainly isn't a bad idea.

Electric space heater is the most consistent with a decently high wattage, that most people have. I'd use it at first for a short duration, like literally one hour, then change the oil (bonus point for change while the oil is still 'warm') and let it cool completely. Next time add some other things on top of the space heater.

thanks! will check that out. I can always call the landlord worst case, but I'd rather learn and try myself before getting a maintenance guy out here

TY gents. Any issues running long extension cords to accomplish this?

Since it is dual fuel I was going to run propane exclusively during breakin so I don't have to drain the gas / fire it up every couple weeks.

That's a matter of the cord's wire's gauge, wattage you'll be running through it, and length of run. Don't try to run a space heater and other things or a power hungry electric tool off a 100' 16 gauge cord something silly like that. If you're going to run a regular 3 prong 125v cord to applieances that's 50-100' long you'll want like 12 gauge and don't run more on it than you'd run from a single duplex outlet in your house (about 1800 watts continuous, basically an electric space heater on high, is all you 'should' run on a single 15 amp typical household circuit or typical extension cord)

If you use fuel stabilizer and/or ethanol free gas, you don't have to worry about draining it. Literally just run the gas out within like a year or two and if it's stabilized it'll be fine (especially if it's ethanol free). Propane is cleaner though and all that on the internals.

Nice! I'm hoping my Titan set of bumpers arrive soon as well.

On that note, my Rogue Echo Bar 2.0 arrived yesterday! Holy smokes. I've been used to the bars at my local YMCA, and an old $50 CAP bar before that. I never knew what a quality bar felt like. Also, my last lifting session was early March. Holy chit. This 45lb bar feels like it's 80lbsI used to fling these things around like nothing.

I've been feeling the same way. I don't even do body-weight exercises. Lots of cardio with bike riding atm. I've pre-ordered some dumbbells on amazon (those 1" standard hole plates and spindle bars). 110 lbs worth ($120). Who knows when they'll arrive. I've should have grabbed that Titan Multi-Grip V2 barbell when I could for accessory arm work. Still, I could get by with curling in my squat rack with the Echo bar. I just prefer dumbbells for standing rear delt raises, and bent-over rows. Easier on my forearm/elbow.

Unfortunately, Academy is not shipping weights and equipment, and the nearest one is almost 2000 miles away. LOL.

Yeah, I ordered two set of 60lb w/ 14" spindle lock DB bars, and ordered another pair of 16" DB bars for future use. Locally, standard 1" hole plates are going from $2/lb - $3/lb USED! LOL.

Yup, standard 1" 10's are at a premium right now. Get as many as you can. I can get 2.5s and 5s if I look hard enough, but can only fit so many on a DB bar.
