I need to get a hunting license so I can harvest a bird next week while I'm off work. Going to get the lifetime hunting/fishing, which I should have done years ago.

TargetSports Prime has M193 back in stock for 321/case. It's not an amazing deal by any stretch of imagination but bought a couple cases just to hedge against increases as prices get more retarded heading into election time.

I know guys, its a huge loss for us Canadians. We had strict gun laws beforehand. It would take someone 6-12 months plus a 1week 40 hr course to get a license. The Nova Scotia tragedy was done via arson and illegal firearm smuggled into the country. Plus the fukr had a real RCMP uniform and exact replica car. He would pull people over and murder them. Its a brutal slap in the face. I dont own any guns FYI

A lot of the stuff gets written off the list fast once you train with it. Elastic cumberbunds are more or less mandatory, should be run very tight, low drop leg holsters and subloads suck, etc.

Been getting more into these combat fitness bodyweight type workouts. Went for the usual dry fire / combat fitness run (analogous to legs I guess). 3 sets of following, no rest period: 20 squats, 20 calf raises, sprint around the house then crawl 10 m, 10 reps standing to kneeling (right knee), repeat 10 left knee.

It's a bit under 40 lb of gear I think. The belt is probably around 6 or 7 lb. Vest with level IV plates, 4 mags, radio and medical is probably ~20. Rifle I'd estimate at well over 10, maybe 12 with everything inc the can.

Next week I'll add my camel to the mix with 3L water and a SAW pouch full of rocks or something.

Benefits over the two m&p15's you posted are free float handguards and upgraded 2 stage trigger (trigger alone is $100). They do not come with iron sights or an optic, but I'd rather pick my own optic than settle for the crimson trace (or have a fixed front sight and non-free float handguard).
Actually may get the 16" or 18" Ruger. Only problem I have with the 16" is I could've gotten it for $150 less a month or so ago. Price went up due to supply/demand (they are sold out everywhere). I have other AR's so no hurry and I'll wait to see if the price comes down.
