Germany says USA not the greatest country in the world.

I'm fuarking raging bros! My German coworkers were saying America is not the greatest country anymore. They said that many countries had to deal with the coronavirus and many of them handled it better than the United States. They said the United States handled it like a country with shoddy infrastructure and a dysfunctional government whose leaders were too corrupt or too stupid to head off mass suffering, yet the USA had a large lead time for preparation and plenty of money to prepare.

I'm livid right now! They were cackling when they were saying all of this. My brother got coronavirus and this hits home for me.

What facts or statistics can I use against them that the USA handled the coronavirus well or that Germany handled it poorly?

Mods, please no move to R/P. This isn't about politics. Its about who's the greatest country in the world.

90%+ of all Germans are complete NPCs who base all their viewpoints on what their garbage tier biased media tells them. Making fun of the US in order to feel better about oneself is extremly popular as well. Don't even bother with them, srs. There's this Thai epidemiologist here who critized the governments' corona policies recently and he was shocked by how easily the people gave up their constitutional rights, as is usually the case with people who moved here from oppressive countries. They're always amazed by how easily big portions of the population will bend over for the government.

Combine biased media + education system with a relatively small population size and this is what you'll get. Imagine if NY or California were seperate countries where everyone watches CNN every day and you'll get a feel of what it's like.

Thought there's been protests here and there pretty much everywhere at this point. Were there none in the UK?

But yeah the protesters are pretty much exclusively being portrayed as tinfoil hat wearing nuts by the media, rather than people who just want to go to work and that mostly also is what the average Joe thinks of them. They're definitely a minority. People like to make fun of them and paint them as crazy so they can feel better about themselves.

I doubt that has much to do with how the US or Germany handled the whole thing, but rather is a result of the societal conditions in both countries in regards to healthcare, population size and etc.

Anyone who uses these numbers to make claims about who 'handled it better' is a dummy.
