A Subway worker who used to earn $200 a week started selling X-rated photos on OnlyFans and now makes $2,000 per day.

Bikini model Teagan Kaye, 20, joined the risque social media platform when she found herself out of work six months ago.

The Gold Coast woman, who aspired to be a model from the age of three, believes uploading nude photos for her subscribers will enhance her career.

'I know the site has a bit of a stigma around it. People think it's just for porn but people use it for different reasons,' Ms Kaye told the Gold Coast Bulletin.

OnlyFans is a non-censored social media platform where users pay creators a subscription fee to view their content. Photos and videos are often X-rated.

The former Subway employee was shocked when she first set up an account and realized she's made about $2,000 per day.

While she wouldn't say how much she earns six months on, she is in the top 2.2 per cent of money-making creators and uploads original content six times a week.

Ms Kaye said OnlyFans offers creative freedom in ways that Instagram - which has been known to remove images of women in transparent clothes - doesn't.

She uploads content to OnlyFans about six times per week and used the money she makes to invest in her modelling career

'Say if I was in lingerie and it's see-through, I can't post that on Instagram. [OnlyFans] gives me a place I can do that.'

She also frequently uploads nude photos to the platform, but only if they have been taken by professional photographers.

Ms Kaye, who also works as a bikini model, said using professionals ensures the the work is 'artistic and tasteful' and won't affect her career if the photos are ever leaked.

The money she has made on OnlyFans has allowed her to invest in her career and save up to travel to places to enhance her modelling portfolio, like LA.

Ms Kaye also frequently uploads nude photos to the platform, but only if they have been taken by professional photographers

Aside from a few older relatives who don't understand what OnlyFans is about, her family and friends have all been supportive of her ambitions.

'I’ve wanted to be a model since I was three. My whole family knows that. I see OnlyFans as more of a stepping stone to help me get there.'

Ms Kaye also has a YouTube channel where uploads videos about her modelling career progression.

One of her most recent videos was about being rejected from a popular modelling agency because, at 167.5cm, she was 2.5cm too short to fit their requirements.

'It is a bit sad to see that the industry is still not hiring models because of their potential, they're still hiring people because of their height...we all wear heels anyway.'

In another video, she narrated a letter to her 'future self' and spoke about struggling with eating disorders, body confidence, and comparing herself to others.
