Official results on GSD #2 are expectation of 2 weeks to 2 months starting 2 weeks ago when spleen was removed. Hemangiosarcoma. Could start bleeding internally again (most likely from the liver) any time, could also have spread to heart (usually right atrium) or lungs
Damn dogs
Justturned 9 barely even old
GSD #1 died in Augustjustafter turning 10. Ended he had cancer in brain (blew one retina out and blinded in that eye for the final month), right shoulder (they were surprised he could use it, we never noticed a difference), all throughout spinal column (which ruptured and put him down in basically 3 legs at the end)

Damn, Farles . . . sorry to hear that. Our GSD will be 8 this fall, so I know we're on the other side of that hill and it will be rough whenever that bridge needs to be crossed. Gospeed to the doggo.

Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

Emailed P80 support yesterday to check on the status of the replacement front locking block rail and the dude forgot to put the order in. It should be shipping soon hopefully. All my parts are in and the frame is completed. All I'm waiting for at this point is the replacement part

Meanwhile, in terms of cats spanning nearly my entire life, I'm on #2 lol. Got first cat for 6th birthday. Got second cat in time to overlap with first. Still have second cat. Will be 16 next month, still jumps up onto kitchen counter or stove (from floor) if we leave food out for any time at all.

It's OOS, but I do see, randomly browsing, a listing for a Geissele Super Duty 14.5". Pinned and welded SF3P
https://geissele.com/super-duty-rifl...-56mm-ddc.html
And an 11.5" super duty pistol, REBCG, SSA-E X and all
https://geissele.com/super-duty-pist...0mm-green.html
Actually in stock, a very expensive Super Duty 10.3" green pistol
https://geissele.com/super-duty-pist...0mm-green.html

Sorry to hear that, Farles. Tough stuff.
Out for a walk today. See an older couple a few streets over outside their house. Normally their mini collie is out in the yard, not today. Ask where little Fluffy is. Turns out he got put down yesterday and the old lady cried when asked about him.

There should be more serious repercussions though, Judge's ability to sign off on warrants should be looked into (was a no knock warranted?), team leader and commander on the ground should be relieved and not able to participate on any warrant services anymore, etc. It should be a career killer not years in jail.

If some guy ever decides to avenge a family member killed in a bad no knock by going after the cop or his family, and I'm on the jury, I'm voting to acquit. Since, you know, murdering people shouldn't result in jail time.
Cops forget that they live in the community and they're just as vulnerable as anyone else.

Also, FINALLY got shipping notice on pmags I ordered 31 days ago. Was going to call for update and possibly cancel yesterday but I forgot. Glad I didn't, but a month is a long time for a company to not at least send an email saying they're working on it. Especially since they charged my card right after I placed the order.

These are the same people who arrest others and put them in prison for the same thing. Let me guess, thin blue line?
A police officer making a mistake on the job which leads to someone's accidental death is not really any different than a doctor making a mistake on the job leading to someone's accidental death. Acting like cops are intentionally botching (admittedly stupid) warrants in order to shoot someone is a little much.

To be clear, no knocks should simply not exist making such a hypothetical situation irrelevant.

I think this goes right back to what I said. If it's just going to be written off as an 'accident' and a different cop gets rotated up to make the same mistake, they should be prohibited entirely nationwide, flat out, period, none. Getting bumped from carrying them out or signing off on them personally is not sufficient deterrence.
Every officer involved immediately terminated (dishonorable discharge conditions) with immediate loss of all benefits, pensions, legal protection, legal defense, etc, would be the bare minimum starting point to consider even allowing no knocks to exist

No knock is simply inviting provocation of any innocent person that the cops may unintentionally attack.
If you're sitting on your couch or in your bed at 11pm and cops bust in with 5 guys in armor, you have about enough time to shoot one just to have them kill everything in your house. You won't even know its the cops while you're alive. No knock is pretty much 100% retarded in most scenarios.
