Its not the content, its his agitated delivery, he talks to much, doesn't let things sink in, talks too fast, talks over people, and is just overall not pulling off the stunt in a funny way.

I only watched the one with the girl but it was cringe.

The way he is so brittle it doesn't let the concept shine through.

Yeah i get it. I just chuckle at how innocent would someone have to be to try to talk in a calm and serene manner to them and explain the situation and hope for them to happily correct it.
