The answer is: Maybe. It depends. Details matter. The specific case at hand, matters. Totality of the circumstances matter. You can't look at the end result and say "innocent blood was spilled" or "non threat was shot" and just say that, based on that, murder 1 guilty! That's not how it works nor how it should work.

Yeah, I'm sure there are cases where you can in some obscure situation
Not after you chase someone down with a truck for over 5 minutes and they won't stop. I have never seen anything more idiotic done with a firearm when the assailant party had literally over 5 minutes of pursuit to change their mind and go "Hmm, maybe I shouldn't be chasing this guy down with my firearm drawn and visible since he isn't complying and isn't posing a threat to me. Or anyone. Because I saw him trespass and then he ran away from an empty house."
In their case I don't think that's murder 1, though. I think it was sheer negligence because they thought the presence of their guns would deter physical confrontation.
FYI, in my dozens and dozens of experiences of calling police to deal with trespassing, the moment the trespasser walks off hospital property, law enforcement says "don't come back" and leaves. Not even a ticket.

Didn't they no knock the wrong house? I don't hate the idea of the police but in my experience they are not our friends. Some are good guys and some aren't but the real problem is that the majority of people who give them orders are chitbags

The .38 spcl is essentially a shorter (and accordingly less powerful) cartridge that is otherwise the same. Shoot .38 spcl out of it all you want.

IDK what you’re going for here, but yeah, I mean, for the most part, I’m personally totally good with a death penalty minimum for people found guilty in those circumstances.

Your buddy is auto-convicted of murder 1.
The guy he shot had an unloaded airsoft gun, a squeaky clean record (prior to this, but, he died, so he's not going to be convicted of anything lol), the car was pointed in a safe direction, and he didn't get out. He in fact posed no danger to anybody, and your buddy just merc'd him.
Do you still think we should auto-guilty people because they shot/killed somebody with a clean record who was somewhere they had the legal right to be and posed no actual danger to anybody?
BUT, you say, you reasonably believed your life was in danger, so the fact that it wasn't in any way doesn't matter any more. Too bad, so sad, shouldn't have murdered somebody who posed no actual danger to anybody. See how that works? It is entirely possible a no knock raid could be reasonably believed justified/necessary, but turns out it wasn't, or an innocent party was somewhere they didn't belong and got tangled up in it, etc...circumstances matter. "auto guilty" based on looking back at something that "went wrong" etc is fuking retarded
Circumstances matter, and passing laws that automatically convict somebody based on hindsight are fuking retarded
(this is similar to why "zero tolerance" laws are generally a failure)

"Is it legal to shoot somebody who is posing no immediate threat to you or anybody else?"
The person in that scenario was, in point of fact, not posing any threat to anybody. He was trying to, he looked like he did,but he didn't.So, now that your buddy murdered somebody who posed no threat, auto-guilty murder 1. Because circumstances and specifics of the case at hand don't matter, it went wrong, and a non-threat was murdered. We don't need a trial, or a jury to find the facts, or to discuss any other facet of the case. Murdered a non-threat.Guilty
Doesn't seem like such a good precedent or way of making laws now, does it?
The way itshould work, is you have a trial. You collect evidence. You get a fair and impartial jury together. The jury evaluates the previous decisions and actions by the parties in question (judge, police, you, your buddy, whatever) and decide if the parties in question, based on what those parties knew or should have known at the time, are guilty of a crime based on a totality of the circumstances of that specific event

Prices for 1000 round cases are still about $80 - $100 dollars more than they were in February.
Seeing prices come down a little this month from some vendors.
Hopefully it won't take years for prices to come way down again.

COVID pricing will last for at least another couple months. Then it'll become increased pricing because of the uncertainty of an election. "Buy it now in case Trump loses" type of thing. If Trump wins and COVID is under control by then, prices will come back.

Due process is really fuking important, and a murder (or any other criminal) conviction without a jury (with all of the evidence provided to them) being the ones to call the verdict, is just plain wrong.
There is a dangerous trend for even supposed supporters of the Constitution to throw it out the window when they think doing so suits them. Kind of like, gun guys aren't really pro Constitution, they just like to point to the 2A for muh guns and claim they are supporting the Constitution is all...but then start talking about due process, or cruel and unusual punishment for people accused of a crime they find heinous, lol fuk that noise, that 3 second video says they are guilty we don't need due process time to torture them! Constitution? What's that? IDGAF

I'm mostly arguing against ike's "auto-guilty", no trial, or merely a formality trial that a predetermined outcome of guilty regardless of the intricacies of the specific case at hand.
IDGAF

What’s up y’all? I’m way behind on this thread. Crazy busy with work even though they had to cut our salaries 10%. Errone good?
Been trying to work the market and day trade. I was up a couple grand in a week or two then made a really stupid move and lost a few grand last week. Now I’m up $2k this week again. Missed opportunities early this morning but I did not see the day ending green the way it did.
Work is saying mid-late June for going back to the office now.
Haven’t done any gun stuff at all except buy ammo. My wife gives me crap any time I say I want to go to the range. So pretty much been in the house for 2 months now other then Walmart and Lowe’s. Eyeing up some guns and gear for sure with all the money I’m saving now.

Been slow and boring lately, at work and at home; on the upside I have been able to put more time into other things like gaming and going shooting more.
