I have Lhomme Parfum Intemse and it performs very admirably. I wouldn't call it "beast mode" but 2-3 sprays is plenty for a full work day or night out. The scent is gorgeous too, very masculine and sophisticated. My grandfather always wore English Leather growing up and this is very reminiscent of that.

Fir is gonna be a tough one to find, the other two are a bit more common. I dont know of any frag that has all three. Lavender Palm by Tom Ford is pretty good for the first two notes.

It's exceptionally long lasting for a Polo fragrance, similar to Red Intense in that regard.

It's a birthday present though so i'd figure she'd be splurging a little. I offered something <$200, <$300, and then a grail price. How am I supposed to know her financial situation? Bortnikoff's Amber Cologne is cheaper than MFK, Parfums de Marlay, and most Tom Fords. I'm missing your point mane.

You can tell that it's "oud", but it's one of the mildest ouds you'll find. Ralph Lauren never does anything obnoxious or alarming. They are all about mass appeal.

Missing my point? She was talking about Azzaro Chrome as an option mane, and I wasn't surprised cuz it's clear they're complete noobs lol.

And being a newbie, fragrance availability is a big factor. She'd want something she could go to a store nearby and test out. Even if it's gonna be a blind buy, finding niche/artisanal stuff isn't easy and you're not blind buying something at that price for a guy who's not an enthusiast. Bortnikoff and company is way out of their realm.

Anyways you're right @ the price brackets needing an update.

Also, has anyone ITT tried out Armaf Milestone? Their Creed MI clone. This one reviewer, the Fragrance Apprentice I think, is a complete snob and MI is his favorite fragrance. He praised the Armaf for being so well done.

I got a decant of this today, not super impressed. The notes don't really work together the way I thought they would on paper. Opening smells like Chocolate Greedy with oud added: vanilla, bergamot, (bitter) ginger, and cedar. Drydown is not sweet at all... smells like musky wood with an oudish tinge. Funky ambergris can be smelled all the way through. Definitely niche quality ingredients, though.

I like Hacivat much better.
