I haven't tried it yet, can't say. You and I have similar tastes in some respects, but opposing views on other fragrances. I only have one Van Cleef & Arpels sample (forgot which one, lol), but I remember I wasn't very impressed.

I'm not an expert with notes but it has a good balance of freshness/sweetness (but not overly sweet). You'd think this is a fall/winter scent because of the bottle but that freshness from the Luna Rossa DNA makes it light enough for Spring and you could probably pull it off during Summer nights. It has a powdery vibe to it too.

I just looked under bottle and didn't know it's an EDP lol. It's got good lasting power 7-8 hrs easy with moderate projection.

I have only received the confirmation email with a tracking USPS link but nothing else but I expected it to take awhile to get out there door with it being a large "reopening" sale, I was in no rush, it'll arrive when it arrives and I'll be pleasantly surprised on that day.

^ I usually go with 2 sprays of Layton. Maybe 3 if I'm at a lounge or club and there's competing smells.

Haven't seen my parents since january, FINALLY made the trip up and got access to my fragrance collection (and vinyl records collection).

Lol reminds me of the time I dropped my small glass decant bottle of Bond no 9 New Haarlem. My bathroom smelled like pancake syrup for a day or two.

Talkin chit solely from having a sister and brother who served in the Marine Corps and Air Force. They enjoyed the life experiences and skills they got out of it, but both get irritated by the people who were glorified paper pushers in their respective branches but get around civilian friends and act like they were frontline in 'nam. I finally got a humidor, local guy custom builds them out of the NewAir. Got the 700 count size and thought I'd never fill it up but it's almost full. I've tried a lot of stuff but still need to get my hands on an Opus.

I see someone has never triedAcqua Viva. But I notice that Aqua Sextius is an aquatic, with those usually weird chemically, salty, and metallic things they call "sea notes." I honestly can't think of any fragrances I like that contain "sea notes" as a primary ingredient. Maybe because I never really cared for the natural ocean/beach smells, IDK. I like the beach itself, but I can't really picture myself wanting to smell like it when I'm not there.


By the way, if you are a fan of ambergris / salty sea water and beach smelling notes, you must tryWalk The Seaby Kerosene. That is 100% ocean smell, with some light floral and woody notes thrown it. Very high quality smelling fragrance.
